I love it, but it seems that having Pennington split out wide would leave him open for a defender to take a hard cheap shot at him. That would screw us if he got hurt. He better keep his head on a swivel.

glasses, Pennington attempted to block the safety... but just shoved him since ronnie was getting in anyway.you can actually see Pennington getting out of the way rather than putting a block...
True Oz, but in those pass situations or whenever he's playing normally under center, there's a scheme and a whole line to protect him. He's on his own when he's flanked out there.I'm sure he could end up getting the snot knocked out of him if he's not carefull but if we think about it, sitting in the pocket and getting blindsided by a much bigger lineman is far worse and can happen on every single pass play.....

again, hes a football player. Not some 5 year old kid standing around... also he sees his opponent. He can see whats coming... hell, he can lay a hit him self.True Oz, but in those pass situations or whenever he's playing normally under center, there's a scheme and a whole line to protect him. Yes Oz. I know that the QB position is dangerous and that protection can and does breakdown all the time. I just think it leaves him open for a cheap shot...and some 200lb or so DBs can hit harder and do more damage than some 300lb linemen, see Ed Reed, M. Harrison, old school R. Lott, etc. etc. etc.Yep and as a flanker there is no one to blindside him unless he turns around and says hit me and that player is only 200 pounds, not 300...
We all know that playing Qb is a dangerous position. The Qb may have a line helping protect him, but protections can break down at any second. Look at what happened to Trent Edwards today and that happened from the front.
Im just waiting for him to actually get a pass thrown to him for a TD lol
He just stands there most of the time. Doesn't even go outI love it, but it seems that having Pennington split out wide would leave him open for a defender to take a hard cheap shot at him. That would screw us if he got hurt. He better keep his head on a swivel.
