This team has really taken to Saban's schemes and even though we had a lot of stupid penalties we played like we've been with Saban for years. We definitely have the talent and as long as we stay healthy I think we'll be competitive throughout the year. I wasnt expecting us to be at this stage until midseason. Defensive Coordinators are going to be experimenting with different schemes in the next few weeks and offensive coordinators are going to be downing alot of Maalox throughout the season
TWO THINGS...
1. Maybe I am making more out of it than it was but I thought it was freakin' hilarious seeing Shannahan (sp?) looking at the pics on the sideline with a facial expression of "What the hell are they going to run next???" Totally baffled....
2. Can you imagine how much more of a whoppin' it wouldve been if we had not had so many false starts making it an extra 5 yards on almost every series???
Clean up the false starts (which I am sure our coaching staff will do) and the game wouldve been out of Denvers hands much, much earlier.
