One Game? Shut Up!

My expectations were for a rebuilding year. Even if we won today I wasnt going to get too excited. But after that performance, that outlook is out the door. This team has really taken to Saban's schemes and even though we had a lot of stupid penalties we played like we've been with Saban for years. We definitely have the talent and as long as we stay healthy I think we'll be competitive throughout the year. I wasnt expecting us to be at this stage until midseason. Defensive Coordinators are going to be experimenting with different schemes in the next few weeks and offensive coordinators are going to be downing alot of Maalox throughout the season

TWO THINGS...

1. Maybe I am making more out of it than it was but I thought it was freakin' hilarious seeing Shannahan (sp?) looking at the pics on the sideline with a facial expression of "What the hell are they going to run next???" Totally baffled....

2. Can you imagine how much more of a whoppin' it wouldve been if we had not had so many false starts making it an extra 5 yards on almost every series???

Clean up the false starts (which I am sure our coaching staff will do) and the game wouldve been out of Denvers hands much, much earlier.

I like what I saw out there but I remember too clearly the beating the Bills laid on the Pats 2 years in the first game of that year. I watched the whole game (only game broacasted down here) and the Pats looked out of place while the Bills looked like world beaters. Final score was something to the tune of 36-0. Sam Adams even made the SI cover that week and Bills fans thought they had the start of a dynasty.
The rest is history...

The difference is we went 4-12 last year. It left a bad taste in the team's mouth. We will play it one game a week. Same toughness. We established an identity today. We came out like a pack of wolves. We will see that every week...win or lose.

Keep our heads up..keep grinding..and you never ever know.

let me just say that we beat the living hell out of the broncos and that was a good team we played guys.

I agree1 We held tough, low scoring game into 2nd half and we never let down that I give to coaching! we have heart on this team so no one will look past us now!

Fix all the penalties, and we could see wins like this every week. :)

I agree, I was having flash backs when that flag went up...O is bad, but I hate when the D stops them in 3 and you look and there's that blasted flag, giving the other team one more chance...On O, their not good enough to keep started 1st and 15 or 20..but I'm encourage with the OL play..now if we can run block, I'd be really excited.
