With the signing of Jake to play left tackle and yes I said left tackle we are one guard away from a really good line! Who is the leading candidate to play the other guard spot for us? I would love to get another mauler in the draft or do we have him on the team?

If Brandon Albert SOMEHOW makes it past 20 . . . as much as I wanna keep my picks . . . I think u gotta trade up and get him.

Realistically speaking . . . Greco is a very skilled OL who can play both OT and OG . . . and the Fins have been watching him for quite some time. I have him in the 4th in my mock . . . but more than likely you would have to nab him in the 3rd. However, that first 2nd day pick may be traded for possibly 2 later thirds . . . who knows . . . that pick is gonna be VALUABLE.

Rachal and Zuttah I have watched a bit and both are nice.

Don't forget about Mormino . . . if he has bulked up a bit . . . he may be ready to start . . . or the suprise move . . . Satele to Guard . . . and Mormino back to his natural position at C.

I think this is one guy we would move up for aside from a QB.

I think we'll ultimately trade down a little ways in the 3rd round (since we have the 1st pick of day 2 and there should be some major interest there), then take a OG with that pick plus picking up an extra pick down the line.

Chilo Rachal with the first pick in round 3 and we are set for awhile.

Doubt he'll get there, pick 57 would be pushing it, Roy Schuening would be another possibility, nasty player.

Oniel Cousins would be a versatile G/T that could be a 3rd maybe 1st pick in the 4th.

Greco has short arms.

Albert is probably gone top 10 or 12, maybe top 5. I don't see us getting a shot at him.

My feel is these guys will target some 3rd-5th round guys that will do just fine as guards, unless, they want to grab another tackle, to beef up that depth, that can also play guard.

That's why he's projected to play RT or move inside to guard instead of the LT position that he played in college. The only question about Greco is his overall size, we may be looking for a bigger guy, but I'd be happy to have him.

If we add any of these guys we will have one of the best lines in the league!!!!!

Chilo Rachal 6-5, 315 5.12 Southern California
Roy Schuening 6-3.5, 306 5.25 Oregon State
Oneil Cousins 6-3.5, 308 5.11 UTEP (OT)
Jeremy Zuttah 6-3, 303 5.00 Rutgers (T/C) John Greco 6-5, 320 5.30 Toledo

I think Shawn Murphy of Utah State is in the mix as well.

Don't rule out the Fins bringing in another veteran guard. There could still be some cuts after the draft and you still have a guy like Liewinski out there. He was serviceable last season and would provide depth if nothing else.

Asolutley love Shawn Murphy!!! He fits exactly what we want to do in the run game and did not give up any sacks last year playing LG as a senior. A very underated prospect, he will be a really good player in the NFL.

if u want a Guard who can start on year 1, Jeremy Zuttah is probably ur best bet.

though Chilo Rachal sounds like he has the physical tools and speed to be pretty good.

i wouldnt move Satele back to OG, he did just great at Center last year and I dont think changing things would be a good thing.

Joe Staley (OT Central Michigan last year) said Drew Mormino was the best OL on his team and the toughest to go up against in practice. i really think if Drew bulks up, he can be a good starter. we should add a WR in Round 2, and then a guy like Brad Cottam in round 4. everything else can be defense, starting with CB

At this point, I would draft someone no higher then the 4th round to compete with Mormino. With so many holes, I doubt we use a pick in rounds 2 or 3 on another offensive lineman.
