59 rushing yards. I am pretty sure it led the team overall. I think it was great to see him not forcing the ball and taking off when nothing was there. He tried to score late in thr game and took a shot. I think his single game is more than Marino had his entire career but could be wrong, haha.

In the grand scheme of things it just points out the overall ineptitude of our running game but for a supposed stone robot, I was impressed. Maybe opposing defenses will have to keep a linebacker in to shadow him. Err probably not...

Yeah he was the leading rusher...sad as that may be. It was good though, he got a TD, couple of first downs with his feet...much better than forcing the ball.

How about this stat. Just 2/14 on 3rd downs.

the 3rd down conversion rate was abysmal last night at just a paltry and mere 14%

if they were better and henne was better on those situations recognizing defenses better, a few drives could have been extended in the 2nd and 3rd quarters allowing the defense to have more rest. It seemed like the Dolphins offense was in disarray after the first drive, and aside from one long drive after that, the offense wasn't on the field much in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

If they did a better job on those 3rd downs then they would have been on the field helping the entire team out

Definitely one of the downer stats of the night. You gotta convert on 3rd downs. Seemed higher than that . . . 4 of 5 on 4th downs.

We get it, you don't like Henne. How the third down efficiency relates to the scope of this thread is beyond me.

I was thinking this too. I give the Pats credit on some of those 3rd down stops, but not all of them. There was a couple of occasions when Bush just got stuffed on third down right before the first down marker. Luckily after 4 of those third downs we converted on 4th down, but that can't keep happening down the stretch. Not all Henne's fault tho.

Henne did do great on his feet yesterday. He's actually a lot more athletic than I thought. He made a great throw to Hartline on the run to keep a drive alive early on in the game. He looked promising last night.

Actually he did great in general with pressure compared to past seasons. He made a great throw to Bush when he was going down, he stood in the pocket nicely and took some shots, but still hit the passes. I was impressed his game as a whole. He needs some fixing in the redzone and goal line situations, as well as fade routes and some long balls. Other than those issues he was pretty nasty last night tearing up the Pats D. And he didn't just tear up the D when they were in prevent either.

you have to keep in mind that we had several drives killed by penalties. and we converted one or two fourth downs.

Very good point here . . . the penalties killed several drives.

We were 4 for 5 on 4th down, with the only miss on the Hartline fade in the endzone.

blah blah blah. it was effectively 6 of 14 since they extended 4 of those drives after the 3rd down. nice try though.
