one huge problem

if any of u watched the same dolphin games i watched the last 2 weeks, u would agree with me that we desperately need to improve our SECONDARY! against the bills, losman threw the ball up on a few occasions asking the fins to intercept the ball but instead they were huge gains. Lehan had an interception to seal the win last nite but couldnt do it. (lehans the same guy who caused the stupid penalty on 3rd and a million against the steelers late in the game). Bell was taken advantage of last nite and looked horrible but i wont write him off cuz hes been playin really well. Will allen is below average and goodman is average. tillman is garbage- special teams player and hill is okay. fins have 8 ints all year... 2 comin from jt, 1 comin from zt, which means the fins secondary have 5 ints !!! FIVE ALL YEAR?! thats horrible. the only reason in my eyes the secondary is half as good as they are is bc of the superb play of the fins D-line and LB core. They put pressure on the qbs, not allowing WRs to burn us too often.
I am fed up with our secondary and it was shown in so many weeks throughout the season that they are a below average group. In the draft/free agency, we need a shutdown corner first and foremost. Our oline has played well run blocking last nite and even the pass protection wasnt bad. I noticed a few times where Harrington/Lemon had a lot of time to sit in the pocket and look over the field. We need Nate Clements, Asante Samuel, or we need to draft a corner in the first round. Oline, we can pick up two in the later rounds, and a LB is not a major concern for us at the moment. We have a probowler (ZT) a future pro bowler (CC) and an average hard hitting Spragan.

The secondary is a problem as these guys often have decent position but can;t play the football to save their lives. The problem still pales in comparison to our offense though. Our offense should be first blame this year. They sucked. Someone actually posted that the 2004 team averaged more points per game than the 2006 team. Our you kidding me!!! AJ Feeley and Lamar Gordon/Travis Minor/Leonard Henry/Brock Forsey/Sammie Morris and Derrius Thompson with Chris Foerester calling the plays was better then this years offensive squad???? Wow, just WOW. The offensive line in 2004 was even worse this this one. We need a serious offensive overhaul in 2007...Again.

yes.... the secondary is pathetic no consistency and the offense is even worst. what a mess.....

our defense as a whole allowed 13 pts. Ya, our secondary got burned once or twice but yet the end result is 13 pts. I can live with that. If that's the worst our defense is going to play then that's freaking awsome.

I don't think an offensive or secondary overhaul in in need. How many fumbles have they caused? I think we need a new OC. He has shown that it's not the qbs or the recievers fault for us not scoring. We've had three different qbs play and all of them have averaged around ten pts per game. That's an OC issue.

I guess I don't really agree. Every team gives up a few plays. Our problem is that the offense sucks so bad that any play the the secondary gets burned on
"costs us the game". When you score 10 points, you are not going to win much.

Who needs to be replaced? Allen, Daniels, and Goodman are pretty solid. Daniels has been injured. Goodman played pretty well, so did Allen. Bell and Hill have played ok, given up a few plays, but not too bad. Jason Allen is still a rookie, and could be much better next year. Yeah, if we get a real lock down CB, we could improve, but that is hard to do.

IMO, our "one huge problem" is the offense. We lost games this year where the defense allowed 13, 16, and 17 points. If we scored 20 points in those games (20 lousy points!), we would be 9-6. We also lost 2 games giving up 20 points and 1 game giving up 21 points. Simply put, we have ZERO playmakers on offense.

I agree 100%

That says it all.
