One less elite team to worry about

That's unfortunate. Peyton is a class act and truly one of the greats of all time. I hope he is able to come back, but I have a feeling this might be the end for him.

His career is over. His injury to the 7th vertebrate is not healing at all. This is the vertebrate directly related to tricep movement and is much more complex than a simple "pinched nerve." He is going to have another surgery at UChicago (by Dr. Fessler, the top spinal Neurosurgeon in the world) but there is only about a 5% chance that we'll ever see him play again. He will likely need to have an artificial disc inserted.

Sucks because he was one of my favorite players and definitely my 2nd favorite QB of all time.

Source? I know you dont run around making **** up, but that sounds like something we need a link for. Not doubting that its a possibility...the Colts have been quiet which leads me to believe its bad, but career ending needs a report to back it.

If that's true and I'm the Colts' GM, I'd make my Punter my starting quarterback and go for Luck.

Once Collins gets acclimated they will still win a ton of games. There is too much talent around the QB, they won't be SB contenders but still playoff contenders.

My thoughts exactly. Even for this week, that +9 spread is looking damn good. I can easily see the Colts making a game out of it or flat out winning it. The moneyline is +350.

This is pretty much the biggest game in texans history, I think they'll win failry easily(they did last year week 1 against a healthy Colts team) bt I think as Collins gets more comfortable they will be pretty good.

No pressure last year though. They were supposed to lose. Now they are overwhelming favorites. We'll have to see how they handle that.

I cant see the Colts making the playoffs though...the running game is going to suck as usual. Collins isnt going to win 10 games throwing 50 times. Youll definitly see them keep in games and upset teams though.

i'm not sure the would have made it w/ Peyton, many were expecting this to be the decline year but I still expect them to be in contention but if he's out I wouldn't expect them to make it.

Not to be that guy but I really can't discuss that.

Fighter pilots often suffer the same injury. They are told to not have surgery until they are completely done flying because you can’t risk trauma after the procedure.

Damn. So what exactly is the injury? His vertebrae is pressing on a nerve?
