One less elite team to worry about

Actually this hurts the Dolphins a bit. They play the Patriots, Ravens and Steelers. You figure those three teams are big competition to the Dolphins. Patriots for division obviously and Steelers/Ravens for Wild Card. Of course one of those teams could have a terrible season, but it's unlikely.

It could entail a lot of different things but most likely a removal of his disc and the insertion of an artificial. They have to remove a vertebrate and then fuse it back on with screws. Even with Dr. Fessler doing this, those screws are not meant to withstand any kind of trauma. This is confirmed in multiple articles.

Once Collins gets acclimated they will still win a ton of games. There is too much talent around the QB, they won't be SB contenders but still playoff contenders.

Let's see how good that talent looks when they have a mortal at QB.

Just watched an animation of the procedure. Ouch

He is screwed. I had spinal fusion about 5 years ago. While it fixed most of my back problems I cannot bend like I used too.
I had to give up golf for a year. When i was allowed to play golf again I found that I hit the ball about 50 yards shorter.

I would be suprised if this procedure doesn't negatively affect his throwing velocity and strength forever.

My thoughts exactly. Even for this week, that +9 spread is looking damn good. I can easily see the Colts making a game out of it or flat out winning it. The moneyline is +350.

Anyone need gambling advice for next week?

This Colts team - as I've said for a long time - is a 3 to 5 win team without Manning.

That's not really fair since w/ Manning many were expecting Indy to struggle this year. Manning has had elite talent around him since day 1.
