One more reason to want Manning

These last 12 years has been some of the worst in Dolphins history and the Jets only have 3 more playoff appearances and 7 more regular season wins. 2 of those playoff appearances came from a 9-7 record.

What do the Jets have to show for those playoff wins? In the last 12 very bad years, the Dolphins have the same amount of AFC East championships that the Jets have had in their entire history. I agree that the ride is more fun as a fan when you make the playoffs and win games, but when you come up short, no one else cares.

You can rationalize it any way you want but since your last playoff win(Dec. 2000) we have 6 playoff wins and 2 title game apps. Since your last title game app we have 3 of them, it sucks we haven't gotten to or won a SB but we have made it pretty far. Miami hasn't been close to a title game since 1994.

You know you want to see Miami make the playoffs and win some playoff games in the worst way.

Tony isn't coming here as a HC, he's coming as an OC. I don't have any idea how he will do but we have talent and if he can get that OL to improve we'll have a good O.

you only state things that support your same boring repetitive argument, and when someone else brings up something different its "whining"

what have the jets done lately and by lately it means most recently and by most recently its the last NFL season, they went 8-8.....8-8, the current roster is a roster of an 8-8 team that missed the playoffs and chokoed down the stretch, thats what they are, they are not the 09' or 10' team, get over that fact please

who doesnt? still the fact remains the Jets didnt win the Super Bowl or even make it any of the years your mentioned so it is all completely irrelevant, Miami made the playoffs in 08 and lost, even if they had won and lost in the next round, nobody on here would still be talking about it like it is the ultimate goal and measuring stick for a season, you won the divisional game 2 years in a row, congrats, nobody cares besides you, go over to the Colts and Steelers forums, see if they are bragging about losing the Super Bowl after they beat the jets in the AFC title game you love to talk about

Who cares? I certainly don't care that the Jets have won more playoffs games the last 12 years (which have been the Dolphins worst and the Jets best). As long as the Jets don't win the Super Bowl, I'm happy. :chuckle:

Sure I want to see the Dolphins in the playoffs. But if they lose in the playoffs, no one other than Dolphin fans will care about that season. A lot of Jets fans were hoping the Giants would lose in the Super Bowl just so they could say "They didn't win, so who cares". As a fan you would care becasue it was fun to watch, but no one else does. To brag about losing two AFCC games is more silly than the Bills bragging about losing 4 straight Super Bowls. At least the Bills have something to show for their losses with 4 straight conference championships. What do the Jets have? No Division title, no Conference title, and no Super Bowl title.
 
The funniest thing I read on Gang Green is some of their fans saying that if Miami gets Manning, then the Jets owner (Woody Johnson) would do everything to move up and get RG3. They must hate Sanchize. :chuckle:

i have never bragged about any of our afc championship losses.we have had countless moral victories in our history but i never like to reflect upon them much less boast about them in 50% of my posts. but you are correct, i would much rather lose in championship game or in a playoff game than be mediocre.

winning the 2008 afc east champioship was nice at the time and we have 13 of them(jets have 2 by the way), but the 2008 season was a farce just like when the jets backed into the playoffs 2009.
