One of the upsides to Sunday's Loss: Fasano and Martin

There seems to be alot of negativity out there about our boys after Sunday's game, so I thought I would list two of the players that made a significant contribution to keeping us alive up until the end:
Anthony Fasano 8 Rec, 84 yards, 1 TD
David Martin 4 Rec, 53 yards, 1 TD

These guys deserve some credit and have been overlooked in a tough loss
 
Although I agree they both had good games, this happened because unfortunately either our WR's couldn't get open or our QB couldn't get them the ball downfield.

Nope. This happened because those two were the only ones who got decent separation and hang on to the ball when it mattered most.
 
I've been reading some posts that claim Fasano wasn't blocking well in the game, but they fail to realize that he was the one guy that kept getting open for Pennington
 
Have to say fair play to Martin after everyone here (including myself) pretty much wrote him off.
 
Yeah they both played well i think they will be the primary targets and maybe they can draw attention away from Ginn so he can get some separation
 
and at the very least, they compliment Pennington's short yardage and Red Zone passing attack

and I don't think we will get our #1 guy until the offseason...however there are some compelling UFA's in 09.......T.J. Houshmandzadeh, T.O., and Jabar Gaffney to name a few

Yeah, they both played well and caught the bulk of what was thrown at them. I wonder if we'll adjust our passing game to work from the inside out to take advantage of that next week.

with their performance on Sunday and our WR core not doing much I would say that is a strong possibility
