Another bad draft choice and I can be included as part of the ones that were excited when we picked him. Like I said before, he is the second coming of Yatil Green. Maybe not as bad as Green, but a player that is very talented and can not live up to his potential on the field because of injuries.

The Dolphins still haven’t gotten much return on the first-round pick they spent on DeVante Parker. (Bill Ingram/The Post)

“I don’t think he’s been 100 percent,” offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen said. “It’s hard to play that position when you’re not feeling great. I think he’s really improving. I think he’s practicing better… he’s made a number of big plays and I’m encouraged by him. I think he has a chance to be a great player.
“He’s fighting through this thing, injury-wise, and that’s no fun. But I think he’s going to be fine. I really do think he’s going to be fine and is going to have some big, big days in this second half of the season.”
While Christensen declined to specify whether Parker’s issue is his hamstring or his foot, Parker said after the Buffalo game his hamstring was still bother him.

That's the only explanation.

We all know what he's capable of when he's completely healthy.

I did not like drafting a WR that high, but I'm now rooting for him to get healthy and contribute. if nothing else I'd love to see him develop into a physical red zone threat. With his size, he really should be a guy that can get you the catch even with little separation.

Parker is an Ironman when it comes to actually playing compared to Green. I'm not throwing the towel in on him yet. Let's see where he ends up after the season is over. If he stays healthy, he'll wind up with 900+ yds.

I would not draft injured players.

Agreed. I believe there should only be one player per draft that you take an injury risk and hope they pan out; preferably not the in the top 3 picks. More often than not these players will miss time and experience which at best delays their impact on the field.

The thing with Parker. A story was done on him early. He says he likes watching Spongebob and playing video games. He sounds like a gentle person, not necessarily immature. Seems to me that may be an issue with playing an extremely aggressive sport.

Kelvin Benjamin 415 yds 4 TDs and 31 receptions at 14.2 ytd per Rec and Parker only 295 yds 1 TD and 23 receptions. The yardage difference is about 30% but Parker has not been the end zone threat that we thought he would be. He only has 4 career TD's and I don't know why he's been the invisible man other than he's not open

Parker rarely runs crisp routes or gets separation. That's one of his biggest issues. It works if your extremely
Agggessive going for the ball but he isn't that either.

Or ... the OP is wrong.

He has a pulled hamstring. They're taking it slow.

If he eats nails and watches monster truck rallies does that make a difference?

C'mon with Yatil Green.

Take it easy!

That guy never even made it onto the field.

DVParker is no Yatil Green.

Jury still out.
