Our defense on third and long!

my god, the poor play has carried over from the previous year once again. how many 3rd and 5's-10's did our defensive backs give up? it makes me sick knowing that every 3rd down we cannot stop the oppositon! either our db overruns their coverage, we cant hold a player behind the first down marker, we miss tackles, or we cant get any pressure on the qb! it seems like we just buclke under the pressure and have to pray for a miracle incompletion. every year its always bad and we start the trend again. and it always seems that when were on offense we cant even convert a simple 3rd and 3!!!!!

That was something Sparano mention often in the offseason as a focus of our defense. Obviously it wasn't working this week!

Agreed, and the sad thing us as often as we allowed coverted 3rd and longs, we still had our chances.

Our secondary can't cover guys for 6-7 seconds. We have to get pressure.. which we didn't, at all.

I think our corners are having to over extend themselves because we can't rely on the coverage from our safeties. Looks like it might be a swing and a miss there on Gibril. And Yeremiah is a ball hawk and a great hitter but his coverage skills are average at best.

our safties, linebackers, and offensive line are garbage. 6-10 season.
