With Ginn over Quinn decision, Cam showed he's expecting Ted Ginn will be the next big playmaker.
But after that, I'm almost sure that Randy Mueller was handling a trade with KC, involving Marty Booker both of our second round picks, Trend Green and their first round (to pick Brady Quinn), justifying with that the 2nd round they wanted for Trend, while perhaps winning some late picks in the trade.
So we left just one spot away...

NO way...Mueller is not about giving away 2 2nd rounders or a guy they passed on and an old fart 37-38 year old has-been. I think Beck was their guy all along

That would have been interesting.

Our draft day would have been

Lorenzo Booker

and we would have lost

Marty Booker
Satele
Beck

I would have taken that trade, tho it would have meant paying 2 guys 1st round money. We probably would have to of thrown in a 1 or 2 second day picks.

I think they liked Quinn, but the difference between him and Beck was probably marginal . . . or atleast not enough to sway them from taking Ted Ginn. Also the money difference had to play a big role . . . in the end, it probably was a good move by Miami . . . of course if Brady turns into Brady . . . then it will haunt this team for a long time . . . but you do what you got to do, and we look back on it later.

From what I've heard they simply had Beck rated higher. I for one love that we were able to keep all our picks.
