If we beat the Vikings, we are of course on a three game win streak and the charge towards the play-offs continues. However, we then get a game on the Thursday against the Lions to get a chance to get another win ASAP.

This is huge in my opinion. We all confident and talking play-offs now and a win this Sunday will continue that. Then if we can get another win just 4 days later that would be amazing for our confidence. It also gives us 10 days (or near enough another BYE week) to plan for the remaining games and rest up. This is a huge advantage.

However, 1 loss this season and were finished. :shakeno:

I think they will have to win out to have any chance of making the playoffs. But how great would it be to see Miami go on a 9 game winning and get into the playoffs.

....And knowing us we'd go out first round....to an Olindo Mare missed FG!

Don't jinx anything although the playoffs are a long way off right now but if we do make it and that happens many people will be looking for you.

I am really glad Culpepper is not playing. It would probably be one of the few times in his career that he would lead the Vikings to a victory.

I do think that picking up 3 wins in a span of 12 days would go a long way to this team / fans thinking playoffs are not out of the question.

Ha...Probably. :D

I think we are set up remarkably well to get back to .500. First, we get the struggling Vikings at home. Then we go up to Detroit on a short week, but they are on an even shorter week as they play at Arizona on Sunday. Then the Jags come to town and we've got a few extra days to get ready for them and they are in the midst of a mini-swoon themselves. All I want is to go into the fourth quarter of the season with a chance.

one of the Wild Cards (save the one that will go to SD/Den) is not being run away with. The Jaguars aren't as good as advertised, the Bengals aren't playing great, the Steelers aren't a good team. The Jets are not a contender. Honestly, even if we can't catch the Patsies, it's POSSIBLE to snag a Wild Card at 9-7. A small chance, but it's there.
