Is blow teams out. Not one blowout. Last year we had two- tennesee 41-0 in the first half alone and the texans game.

The problems are still there:
-ol, lbs and dbs.

Btw,
this team needs to find another weapon. Period!

We rarely do that. God do i wish for that. Every Sunday its a blood pressure problem. Its horrible when you get used to that as a fan.

Are we ever going ro be dominant again? Our legacy is 50 plus years old.

If we can go into next season with Maxwell, Lippett, Howard, Abdul-Quddus, and Reshad Jones, the DB might not be a lost cause.

The offensive line has improved. We could use a solid G addition in FA.

We need LBs and a good TE. Badly.

Not going to happen with this defense. No matter how many points the offense will score the defense will just let the other team answer. 10 points would be a blowout for this team.

And we've only held the lead in the first quarter in one game (vs Cleveland). I think they mentioned it in the game today that we were the worst team in the league in first quarter scoring differential.

Yes closest they have come was vs the Steelers who were banged up. You can say the team lacks talent which is true. However they have been undisciplined all season even during the 6 game winning streak. Costly penalties (players making mental mistakes or just losing their cool) kept some of those games closer than they should have been. Gase really needs to get the team to clean that stuff up.

Yep. We have a slew of big plays all through out the season nullified by mental errors.

We all need to chill.
Yes, we lost ugly.
There is still 4 games, a possible winning record and maybe playoffs.
Not bad considering all the chronic injuries to our best players.
The LB got a bandaid with Alonso, but the rest are special team players.
Gase and the staff are making some progress.
In time, these embarassing losses will stop.
The glass is half full imho

All wins were close except PIT. I'm VERY tempted to say that's another way of saying Miami plays up/down to opponents. HAS to stop.

Personally I don't give a **** if we blow teams out or not....but being on the receiving end of them? No thanks.

Given that we were a 6 win laughing-stock team at the end of last year, brought in a rookie head coach who is doubling as an OC, and a rookie DC, I think we're doing pretty well to make every game but 2 (Tennessee and Baltimore) competitive. I'm even happier that we won 7 of the 12.

Consider that Gase's offense runs through his TE's, and we've been using our 3rd and 4th stringers much of the season. Realize that Joseph's ideal defense is a 3-4 and he was relying heavily on a 4-3 DL to bail out his abysmal LB corps and scheme to protect his nascent DB's. Both of these guys are learning what our personnel can and cannot do. The team is adjusting to new concepts with sporadic results. Yes, Suh, Wake, Kiko, and Reshad proved they are studs. But Mario Williams has been a bust. Byron Maxwell appears to be having more hot than cold days, but one day we get the Hulk, another we get Bruce Banner. Xavien Howard is still injured and Tony Lippett is still learning. Brice McCain is giving it his best, but sometimes that's not enough. The loss of Reshad Jones is big, but VJ has made a good addition with Bacarri Rambo. But, any team starting Spencer Paysinger, Neville Hewitt, Earl Mitchell and Andre Branch ... is going to have issues.

On offense, we've seen that when our OL is right, this team is good enough. But, our lack of a stud TE really shows. Ditto for the right side of our line.

We are a work in progress. Like russianbear explained, I'm just happy we're competitive in 10 of our 12 games with a chance to win it. Sure, I'd love us to blow teams out. Sure, I'd love to see us hanging 40-burgers on teams. But at the end of the day, a win is a win, and I'm most interested in winning.
