In the second round might i add another blown 2nd round pick. 2 OL he acquired incognito and martin. Now we have to replace the whole oline next year. To top it off he tells martin to punch incognito. Hopefully at the end of all this something good will come out of it and ireland will be fired.
 
Dream scenario, team is united and galvanized by this and goes on a playoff run. Jeff Ireland gets fired anyway. Dream scenario.
 
Ireland gets blame because he is his choice but nothing was quite apparent that he would end up having these issues. I know that both of his parents Harvard grads should have been a big red flag
 
I agree I think this may just lite a fire under some behinds.

Jeff Ireland is under fire for signing an alcoholic jerkoff like Richie Incognito. Jeff is under fire for putting him on the same line as the world's biggest locker room cancer, Jon Martin. Jeff is under fire for possibly knowing that Martin had SERIOUS psychological problems when he drafted him -- thanks Cogs Sr. for making that public. Jeff is under fire for, as I hear it, not listening to Joe Philbin regarding the tackle situation this offseason.

Jeff is under fire for allegedly telling Martin's agent that Jon should punch the guy. Which even if it may have been the kind of good advice my dad would have given me, is not something management should EVER tell an employee who comes to them with a problem about another employee.

In short, Jeff Ireland is under fire for being Jeff Ireland.
 
Does anyone have lower character people on the OL center to left? Pouncey, Cog, McKinney? Id put them up against any NFL team. The more you learn about this team the harder it is to like them. You can lay that right at the feet of Ireland. Not only does he put together a team of bad players, he put together a team of (too many) bad people.

Heard a story about some business owner asked what the first thing he considered when hiring a new employee. He said the first thing he considered was the likelihood that person might sue him.

Actually most Draft folks considered it a steal that we got him where we got him..... yet everyone knew he needed to bulk up his stregnth.

Either way i blame Ireland for alot but i cant blame him for drafting him.... but I do completely blame him for not addressing the RT & RG position properly and for him having the reigns long enough that the OL should not be an issue by this time but it still is, even before this fiasco.

No one can deny he sucks at drafting in the second round.

Even I can't really blame Ireland....but it doesn't surprise me either that this happened on his watch...just say'n....
