The problem here is that there's two completely different sets of values being confronted here.
One belonging to Cogs, his teammates, Turner, Philbin, Ireland, most of us; male fans, the Dolphins organization and most everyone in the NFL organization...
And another belonging to the media, most everyone and anyone that has anything to do with 'interpreting the law', attorneys, judges, Goodell...
If this goes legal things that football people and fans share and that make this sport what it is will be put to trial under a set of values that will nothing but crucify them...
While Martin may not have been treated any different than any other player and perhaps even better than most, at least on Cogs behalf, that very treatment would be considered harassing under that different set of values...
Personally I realized there's no way out for Cog or any of us when I agreed with Ireland's "punched Incognito" remark... and I'm just a computer tech...
We are all hopeless, Martin may have just killed the most enjoyable entertainment for millions of people out there, all what other few thousands can do right and a business worth billions...
