Nope! you all guessed wrong, it was Geno freaking Smith against our defense. But no foolin', the wildly inconsistent New York Jets quarterback went 20-of-25 for 358 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 37-24 win over the Miami Dolphins. In doing so, Smith became the only quarterback in 2014 to post a perfect mark of 158.3 and the first since Alex Smith of the Kansas City Chiefs did it on Dec. 15, 2013. (Only three other quarterbacks have posted a perfect mark this decade: Tom Brady in 2010, Robert Griffin III in 2012 and Nick Foles in 2013.)

Is Kevin Coyle fired yet ?

It is hilarious how many records and weird stats come against us. And long FGs.

Native. American. Burial. Ground.

... Of course he did lose a fumble. So there's at least that. :idk:

no we all guessed right...who would get that wrong? Literally just happened

Did you know that Geno Smith ALSO posted the only 0.0 passer rating from a starting quarterback this season? Usually that's a stat reserved only for guys throwing interceptions on fake punts.

In fact, it was the first time a starting QB had posted a passer rating of 0.0 since 2010, when Brett Favre did it in his last start, playing hurt.

Geno Smith: One of a kind.

in a meaningless game for both teams.

I personally think it was a very important game, for morale reasons.

- If we win, everyone is going to feel good about how the fins improved every year (7-9, 8-8, 9-7). This team is going places! Season ends with high-fives in the locker room, looking forward to a bright future.

- If we lose, everyone is howling about being mired in 8-8 mediocrity, we're going nowhere, clean house, burn the whole place down. Season ends with bitter players & coaches questioning each other.

They are all professionals. When next season comes, none of them will be thinking about last season. Most of the drama and low morale comes from the fans and media. the team not making the playoffs is the only thing that will stick with the team.

Has junc been around to talk about how Geno outplayed Tannehill again yet?

No, I think he gave up on Geno. was on the Sanchez/eagles bandwagon, until they missed the playoffs because of him. so he's in a corner crying over his Sanchez poster.

I believe this, Geno is an awesome QB, the Jets need to sign him to a 6 year 100 mil+ contract...they don't need to find another QB. :foundout:

Sun Life has become Geno's fantasy island.

A place where Mr. Coyle makes your dreams come true.
