I know its been brought up inside other threads, but IMO it might have been the play that won the Jets the ball game, so it deserves its own thread.

The D-fence bends, but doesnt break forcing a 4th and 13, and what should have been a chip shot field goal. Well, come to find out the kicker is hurt so the Jets are forced to go for it, which in most cases is a huge break for opposing team; Not so for the Dolphins. Favre throws up a prayer, and the football gods answer. We make that play it could have been a completly different ball game.

I dont know if some members of the 1973 Dolphins decided to break mirrors after that season or what?? But ever since then the Dolphins just cant seem to catch any breaks.

Have ever noticed the Jets luck........I feel for ya but I have to say that if Brett brought God in to be a Jets fan then its 12 million well spent!

The Jets have made their own bad luck, with crappy drafting throughout their franchise history. Now dont get me wrong, the Dolphins have had their share of bad drafts, but that didnt start until the last decade. But come on, to have one of the best QBs in NFL history playing for your franchise for 17 years and not winning a superbowl=bad luck.

But back to yesterday.

Did the better team win?? Probably...the Dolphins are a young team and made some mistakes, which I expected especially early in the season. But plain and simple, despite the mistakes, and dispite the lucky TD, we played well enough that it came down to the last play. The only difference is Pennington's prayer of a pass wasnt answered and Favre's was.
