With Sabans system of right and left safties, rather than free and strong, our team is starting to take shape in this area.
I feel with the Play of Bell (barring injuries), and Schulters coming along, these could, and should be the opening day starters. Bell's speed and playmaking ability, coupled with Schulters experience and dependable play put us in a pretty good spot. That leaves us with Tillman and Jones as quality depth, with the strongest candidate coming in should there be a need.
Thoughts?

My opinion of our safety situation has definatly changed since the begining of camp I was thinking it was going to be a pretty big weakness for us but now it almost seems like a strength.

If Bell does continue to play great, then he could be one of the starting Safties. Schulters seems like he is having a difficult time at adjusting and learning the defense. But the Safties that i think that will start are Schulter and Jones. Bell will see alot of playing time in games.

Yeah I think that as the season progresses it will be shulters and tebucky but by going on what ive read i dont think shulters will be ready to start the season

Haven't heard or seen much out of Jones, maybe I've missed something, but for that matter Schulters either. Just figured Schulters was the man for the Titans, so should be for us too.

Tebucky and bell, Bell has done a great job and has what saban whants from a safety, apart from speed. Jones has some question marks in coverage, but answers will come only during the season, pre-season doesn't mean anything.
