There'd be a frequent rotation along the defensive line to keep guys fresh... P. Merling (on clearly passing downs), K. Langford (on clearly rushing downs), and R. Starks (any down at NT or DE) should all see significant playing time...

This year's draft targeted both lines (3 OL and 3 DL)...

Next year's draft will target WR, DB, and LB...

What do you guys think??

I disagree. One of Langford or Merling will start the season (pending injury).

It's also way too soon to prognosticate starting lineups as June 1st and training camp cuts have yet to be determined, you just know Parcells will be active on that front.

And I also think Parcells/Ireland might make a move or 2 via trade before the season starts.. I don't think this roster is set in stone quite yet. They have made alot of moves via Free agency, the draft, and with trades so far. So I don't see it coming to an immediate halt quite yet.

I would guess that there will be more moves coming down the pipe.

With the addition of Langford and Merling do Vonnie Holliday or Matt Roth have any trade value at this point. I seem to remember a 5th or 6th being on the table for Holliday at one point. I'd gladly take a 5th today for either one of them.

If Renaldo Hill starts over Jason Allen, I'll be pissed.

I've heard that Smiley will be moved to LG to provide veteran leadership next to the rookie LT.

I don't think we will start Brown and Williams in the backfield.

I want to see Jason Allen finally earn the starting FS spot.

we will have a fullback start and not both RW and RB.

we will also start roth and holiday

lastly the safeties will be j. allen and crocker

better but i dont see Merling starting day 1 at DE, no way... i see Wright and Holiday in there with Langford as an outside shot, but i dont think Merling yet has the bulk to play that 3-4 DE...

One thing I dont like in that lineup are the WR's. They really needed a big play guy at WR. I think Ginn could turn into one but will take a few years.

I agree with this line-up... J. Allen will start over R. Hill and Crowder over Torbor, but I believe it will be Holiday over Starks at DE

He's 6'5" 270 lbs ... he'll put on 10 lbs easy this offseason and be the ideal DE in a 3-4 without question.

would akin ayodele be moved to inside? i know he is an outside linebacker but i was curious if he had talent as an inside linebacker as well

I think next years draft will again focus on the front 7 of the defense. Specifically LBs. Probably pick up another OLman or two as well. But, we should see some skill guys taken. A couple of corners, maybe a wideout, TE is a possibility depending on how Fasano plays, and dont sleep on BP taking more late round RBs if he has to.

Youre starting lineup is off too. No way Beck starts. Its McCown most likely with Henne having an outside chance. If Beck were already thought of by the FO as a starter, they dont draft a QB. Its that simple.
