With the additon of Daunte and TO not going to Denver, I think we have a good shot at being the team chosen to be Pittsburgh's opponent opening night of the season. If we sign LaVarr- who i still have mixed feelings about depending on the price- we are a lock for the season opener in Steeltown. What a night that would be. Seems obvious to me but if anyone has a better senario i would like to hear it.
The bottom line is that we will matter next year :)

hmm. Is that how it works? They choose who they will think will be the best team and they play the super bowl champs?

I believe they have a certain amount of opponents to choose from, and they go with who they think will be the most marketable. Im pretty sure it's between us, the Broncos and the Bengals.

Well it's between Miami and Denver. Then TV will take the "sexy" pick and with Culpepper and maybe Arrington we are the sexy pick. After the trade for Pep, a lot of "experts" have us being an elite team. By process of elimination, we are the choice. maybe I am just hoping but it seems obvious to me. Explain why another team would be a better candidate, I'm all ears.

Oh. forgot about that what was I thinking. Hmm it seems like we are going to have alot of games on national TV this year. I mean if we get the opener+Thanxgiving+some primetime games. I live in ohio so I rarely get to watch the games. Adelphia Cable sucks why the hell dont they have some sort of Sunday Ticket thing.

Simple...

How about a replay of the AFC Championship game.
That's pretty sexy.

I'd bet on the Bronc's getting the game myself.

Hell we don't even know right now if Culpepper will be ready to start the season. Since they make the schedule dates in April that will still be too early to know if Culpepper would even be playing. No way they take that risk. You'd probably have Tommy Maddox or even worse Cleo Lemon leading the Phins v.s. the Super Bowl champs...... NOT very "sexy".

most likely broncs vs pittsy b/c of the champ game

Agreed. but the possibility is there IF he is ready. it's an option at least. Denver has done nothing to distinguish themselves and the Dolphins have. The media seems to love Saban so we have the advantage as the "new kid on the block". Of course, it's all dependant on Daunte being ready. At least its a nice thought to ponder.

this thread makes no sense....schedules are made by divisions..(other then our own)......not by who won what....last year we played the nfc south....and the afc west...and 2 rando teams.....unless thats what your basing this on....
