After looking at the opening day schedule was just wondering where the dolphins will open the season at will it be at Jacksonville,Atlanta,Carolina or at the jets I hope its against the jets where they claim the afc eastern division crown. That would be great to start off the season with a win at the meadowlands.

Where do you get that it could just be one of those 4 possibilities? There are 4 other away games. And why would Miami start the season against the Jets two years in a row. If anything, it'd make sense to start against New England.

I would rather open on the road. I hate watching the team playing on that damn infield dirt early in the season!

I am predicting that we will be playing at Atlanta the first week of the season. I also wouldn't be surprised if that was the 4:00 game that Sunday.

Here is my reasoning:

1. Marlins play at Dolphin Stadium on Sunday, September 13th. So, the first Dolphins game is Away.

2. Buffalo, New England, Tennessee and San Diego have already been given games for Week one.

3. The four other possibilities for an away game are the Jets, Jaguars, Falcons and Panthers.

4. I don't think it will be the Jets, because I don't think they will start two years in a row facing the same team. Also, I think the league usually goes away from having two division games on opening weekend. New England already is facing Buffalo, so I think that eliminates the Jets.

5. I don't think it will be the Jaguars or the Panthers. Miami plays both teams in the preseason, and I don't think the league would have the preseason game and the regular season game so close together. In my opinion, the Jaguars and Panthers games will be later in the year.

6. That leaves the Atlanta Falcons as the logical choice. What a better way to kick the season off then with the two most surprising teams of last year and the #1 and #2 vote receivers for coach of the year facing each other. This has the making of being a big draw for CBS on opening weekend for the late game.

That makes a lot sense, im sold.

After a promising year, last year, the Falcons start the new season with an L.

Interesting conclusions. I was predicting that we'd open up against the Jags, but you may be right about the league not wanting 2 Jags/Dolphins games in less than a span of a few weeks. I can see the Dolphins/Falcons game being the nationally televised early CBS game.

I'm hoping for an away game, so we get as many home games later as we can.
