Seems like the potential wild card teams are alternating wins and losses weekly. We are coming off of a painful loss (to Balt) and probably will lose or at least not favored to win in NE this coming week. But in my opinion, one team with a 9-7 record will get into the AFC playoffs! Looking at the schedule of our competition for the two final wild card spots, I think Baltimore gets in but I wouldn't favor SD or Cincy to get another win the rest of the way. Doesn't mean they can't win but they would be underdogs, at the least not more than one win the rest of the way for them. As for the other teams in the running, I don't think they will be favored to win in more than one game. I do see a few times tied at 9-7 when all said and done so if Miami can beat Minn and NY Jets (easier said than done and the same scenario as last year) we may just sneak into the playoffs as the tiebreaker may help us instead of head-to-head. It all depends on the team's health and the energy/intensity/motivation or lack thereof. Coaching has a lot to do with the latter.

Dolphins are not getting into the playoffs this year.

or next year, or the next...or even the year after that. Hell, not even that following year. I'd be surprised if the didnt make it after that though.

Baltimore has a strong chance to win out. Take a look at that schedule. They at least win 10.

The Bengals just have to win 9 to stay above 9-7.

One of those other teams that currently has 8 or 7 wins will wind up getting to 10.

I'm with ya man. This is the NFL. Anything is possible on any given Sunday, but don't look for much support here on this board. People have already thrown in the towel.

The team did on Sunday. So it is only fair that we do as well.

Exactly no way to predict the future, but people insist our past dictates the team's future. Do I think we will make it? Likely not, but the season isn't over yet.

Yeah I'm sure we can get in at 8 and 8 also and then we should have no problem winning 3 games on the road to make it to the super bowl.....smh

Yup forbid people have some hope and want to try to enjoy rest of the season instead of being upset and trying to make others feel just as bad before it's even over.....smh

At 9-7 we will need some help for sure. It's not that unrealistic but it's asking for a lot of things too happen. The big thing is not to worry about Baltimore. Let them win out and win the division. Still leaves two wild card spots for more than likely Cincy, Pitt, SD, KC, and Miami.

Cincy is @ Browns, Broncos, @ Pitt
Pitt is @ Atl, KC, Cincy
SD has Broncos, @ Sf, @ KC
KC has Oak, @ Pitt, SD

It's not unrealistic to see KC and SD get to 9-7. Pitt and Cincy may also struggle but one of those teams could fill the first wild card and we could win the tie breaker over KC and SD for the 2 spot. With that said, 10-6 would be a heck of a lot easier for us to make it! Only problem with 10-6 is Tom Brady.

If both Pittsburgh and Cincinnati lose this week the odds of Miami getting in at 9-7 go way up. They play each other the final week and could put us in a situation where whoever wins helps us. I could see 9-7 for both the Chiefs and chargers. You never know.
We wouldn't do much if we did make it with all these injuries. But it would be good experience for our young qb

Should have beaten the Ravens Sunday then they would have had a better shot at making the playoffs. If they can't beat teams like the Ravens and Broncos what's the point in even going to the playoffs anyway? Tired of the same crap every year hoping that other teams lose because our team can't take care of their own business.

I agree with you man. They should have taken care of their own business. But it doesn't matter how you get in the playoffs. Just get there. If you lose in the first round then at least we can say we made it for once. I think a playoff experience would be great for this team and the organization.

9-7 will get you in in the NFC, not so much for the AFC, at least this year.

I would love to see this team make the playoffs. I just don't see it happening this season. They had their chances and now the odds are against them. If the team was 100% healthy they would have a shot against New England but right now with so many starters out the game will probably get very ugly Sunday. Those loses to Green Bay, Detroit and Denver are stinging even more right now.
