I know we always look to trade for a big time player before the deadline, and that rarely happens. But I think there is a possibility that we could make a move this year.

Cleveland just traded Braylon Edwards and is in the process of retooling and rebuilding. Edwards was a bad fit...his play was just avg but his attitude was worse than that.

The Browns need players and they need to give their fan base a reason to be happy with the new regime. I have a solution for them.

Give them one of the nicest players from the nicest families in Ohio, Teddy Ginn. I would take a 3rd and 4th round pick for him in '10 draft...or a 4th in 2010 and a second in 2011.

Ginn might eventually get it. A new start might do him well. All he is ever going to be down here in Miami is Lambasted. Unlike how the Edwards deal was reported, this really would be a good deal for both teams.

Get on the phone Jeff Ireland, and get that Teddy Girl, I mean Ginn, out of Miami.

if we could get a 2nd round pick from a team that will finish bottom 5 in the league, im all for that. Even though i have a Ginn Jersey, the problem is i Don't think we can. I think we need to get a workhorse type receiver to go across from mr.ginn and his mother, Ginn needs to be used more like Eddy Royal was yesterday, and not as the main Receiver but as a Threat. We just need that other receiver to make the safeties shade the one side of the field.

For some reason I keep thinking Ginn for D'qwell Jackson of the Browns. I have'nt seen him play that much (at all). He just seems like an ILB who is fluid enough to cover TE's. Somebody please debunk this so I can move on with my life, and who would be a better cover LB?

Anything to get crowder out as an upgrade, but I just don't see it happening. I think we should keep ginn and use him on punt returns, since he's not playing anyway.

still gonna want this trade after Ginn puts up 2 td's tonight????!!!!
yeah i said it, teddy is gonna light it up tonight under the lights

I remember when he broke into the league he has a very good cover LB. It seems like in last 2 years he has gotten bigger and might be a little slower but still a young guy with lots of talent being wasted in Cle.

Yeah, just read online that he led the league in tackles last year sooooo...(not gonna happen)

Don't misunderstand me, I like Ginn as a player, but he may turn out to be too high priced to keep. I mean, right now he's got no trade value. I actually thought D'qwell would be "gettable".

You listed this thread as a possible trade?

Almost hard to believe.

I'd trade Ginn for Louis Murphy but even Al Davis is not that stupid.

lmao at getting anything more than maybe a 6th round pick for ginn. the raiders (al davis) may be stupid...but even he wouldn't want ginn.

is this post a joke? If we trade Ginn for picks who do we line up at receiver for the rest of the year??

#1 Camarillo

#2 Bess

#3 Hartline??

PLEASE OH GOD please tell me you're joking, teams would laugh at us.. Ginn is the only receiver on the team who draws a safety to his side... (which opens it up for the other guys)...

might be worth looking in to taking Winslow off the Bucs. They are terrible and might take some pics to rebuild. I'm sure Winslow would be happy to play in Miami again and he's got the ability to change a game.

If that's the case with a relatively productive but underperforming WR, do you really believe the Jets can anything at all for Gholston, the bust who went 3 slots higher than Ginn?

I dunno, this staff is so good at contingency plans that I could see us trading Ginn if we lose and sliding Hartline into the #1 spot, Turner #2 and Bess #3. Hartline is faster and more complete(better blocker) than Camarillo. Turner, well we were questioning why Wake was'nt inserted earlier, coaches know better where he's at.

I like Ginn, and I like having him on our team. That said, we screwed the pooch taking him that high (if he were a second rounder we would'nt hate on him at all).

Fixed the misleading thread title.

It seems people are overvaluing Ginn and Roth. You are right, Cleveland needs players, so why in the hell would they give up multiple draft picks for an unproven WR? Looks more like they're in stockpiling mode.
