Opinion: Thigpen is Going to Run The Wildcat Tommorow..

we have a surprise just about every game. probably not going to happen but it would be interesting.

Plus, if Thigpen proves he can run it, we would be able to keep the threat of it going.

That would recquire him to be the 2nd QB... Which he won't be. Pat White is far more explosive and scarier for the defense IMO.

Don't get me wrong. NOBODY can replace Ronnie. I just think that Thigpen would be an interesting option 3 or 4 plays a game.

We need the threat of the wildcat as much as we need it's successful execution.

You bring up a good question though. If Thigpen runs the Wildcat then what do you call it? You still have the running back crossing his face at the snap. You still have Smiley pulling in through the hole.

You bring up a good question though. If Thigpen runs the Wildcat then what do you call it? You still have the running back crossing his face at the snap. You still have Smiley pulling in through the hole.

that's called the shotgun. or if pat white is in people call it the "pistol". but essentially it's just a shotgun formation. if they have ricky in motion and gets the handoff, then it's just a sweep out of the shotgun.
