The Dolphins offense is based on quick reads by the QB and delivering the ball to the receiver just as quickly.
Obviously Lance has more running ability than Tua but I’m not sure that is what McDaniel is looking for in his QB’s. The present offensive system of the Dolphins doesn’t appear to be a good fit for Lance and if he were the backup for the Dolphins, they would have to change a lot of the offense if he was forced to play after a Tua injury.

That's an easy decision for NE. Milton stays.
Dude if we got Milton it would be a godsend. I just don't wanna get my hopes up bc there is like a 1% chance it happens.
If I were NE Zappe and Brisket would be cut way before Milton
More like 0%. Unless he kills someone before the end of the day, he's not getting released.

That was my pre-draft take on Milton. He'd have to improve a lot in order to ever become a starter. I won't say, 'never', but he clearly was a combine warrior.

I just had hopes we would draft him late. He's probably no better than Thompson at this point but I'd like to have him?
Perhaps eventually they will but it looks like Brissett is a candidate to start on IR

Well you better get drafting more Oline then. I did some rough calculation below.
He can throw is 95 yards.
Tyreek takes 10.5 seconds to run that far.
It takes 4-5 seconds for the ball to fly that far.
10.5 - 5 is 5.5 seconds.
Tua only gets 2.5 seconds.
Mr. Big Arm needs 5.5 seconds in the pocket.
Ya see. The kids arm is too strong for the NFL.

Dolphins don't need a running QB, they need a QB capable of running to make plays, Trey Lance has to be a surgeon and a gunslinger with the rock, this team can't have an inexperienced QB right now.

He would probably make a better OG than a QB to be honest.
As I posted earlier, Milton has a great arm, but he doesn't know how to throw with touch. Just bullets everywhere. Also, his accuracy is horrid.
