It is a shame that a good player like Orande got kicked to the curb after giving so much of himself for this team - and some knucklehead like RW can completely screw over the fans and his teamates and then be welcomed back so easily.

All the injuries Orande perservered and played through only to be thrown away like yesterday's garbage. It really makes you understand where certain players are coming from when they demand more money, new contracts, etc.

Coaches are often only loyal to who can bring them a win in the immediate forseeable future. A guy like RW deserves to be flipping burgers somewhere not being on an NFL team.

I guess that is just the nature of professional footall though...

I really liked OG but to compare him to RW is crazy. They are worlds apart in terms of talent and production.

Their respective talent levels isn't really the point.

The point is Orande played hard and gave his all for us.

Although i see your point ricky has played through injuries and battled for his team as well(played the whole 2003 season with a separated shoulder) Ricky has talent and there is no denying that. Yea he d*cked over the team but oronde isn't near as talented as ricky and in this day and age and in this league it does come down to wins and a guy like ricky can help you get some of those.(as sad as it sounds)

Demanding more money is what ended OG's career. He was not willing to play for what David Boston is making. It's a shame because he could have earned another million and played a couple more years. The only one he has to blame is himself and his agent. He had no market value. No other team wanted him. He ended his own career by being greedy.

Well - in 10 years when you have given your best years to your job how are you going to feel if they let you go and say "Sorry - you just aren't talented enough anymore?"

Ricky, when given a chance to return to the team, agreed and is playing for the vet minimum.

OG, when given a chance to return to the team, demanded money... and faked interest from other teams to get it.

Both people controlled their own returns... Ricky chose to come back, OG didn't.

Here's the point, the Dolphins offered an injured OG, a contract extention and he opted to leave the team and get surgery and try the free agent market. Which didn't work for him. If he should be mad at anybody, it should be his agent and himself !!!!!!!!

Didn't know why OG left, he did a great job for the team but didn't know the particulars of why he left. Unfortunate if that was the case.

So you think we should continue to start crippled, achingly slow WR just because he had good character? Character doesnt win football games if you cant contribute physically...

IMO, this entire argument is silly. In football, physical talent trumps character... ALWAYS.
