Since the Dolphins have #11, rank your top 11 players in order that you'd draft them that will guarantee you get a pick. Or pick only 9 or 10 (or less) and state you'll trade down if one of your top X aren't on the board.

My top list:

1. Bradley Chubb
2. Saquon Barkley
3. Minkah Fitzpatrick
4. Josh Rosen
5. Tremaine Edmunds
6. Baker Mayfield
7. Derwin James
8. Quenton Nelson
9. Josh Allen
10. Roquan Smith
11. Sam Darnold

Just outside the list
12. Denzel Ward
13. Vita Vea

Personally, I don't think a trade down is in order, unless someone offers a REALLY good deal.

I think that list is what 90 percent would say is the top 11. I would take any one of them although qb or lb/cb is where it needs to go.

I'm probably a minority of one here. I don't have A guy I want. I'll take any projected top player ranked around 11th best at a top position of need (except TE which I won't take at #11) and who, reasonably, should be there at #11. Thus, James, Smith, Edmunds, Ward, . . .
And I suspect I'll be happier with the #11 pick than most since I don't have A guy.

1) Baker Mayfield
2) Lamar Jackson
3) Josh Allen
4) Roquan Smith
5) Derwin James
6) Minkah Fitzpatrick
7) Vita Vea
8) Saquon Barkley
9) Quenton Nelson
10) Tremaine Edmunds
11) Marcus Davenport

3. Edmunds
4. Mayfield
5. Rosen
6. Chubb
7. James
8. Smith
9. Ward
10. Vea
11. Nelson

For our team specifically...

1 - Rosen
2 - Mayfield
3 - Barkley
4 - Chubb
5 - Nelson
6 - Roquan
7 - Edmunds
8 - Fitzpatrick
9 - Derwin
10 - Ward
11 - Darnold

12 - Vander Esch
13 - McGlinchey
14 - Landry
15 - Allen

Vea/Payne don't crack my top 20 for us. Lamar Jackson doesn't crack my top 64 for us.

As I posted in another thread...

My top 11 players:
  1. QB Sam Darnold
  2. QB Josh Allen
  3. RB Saquon Barkley
  4. DE Bradley Chubb
  5. S Derwin James
  6. S Minkah Fitzpatrick (rated lower as a CB)
  7. LB Tremaine Edmunds
  8. CB Denzel Ward
  9. DT Vita Vea
  10. DT Da'Ron Payne
  11. DE Marcus Davenport
With the expected overdrafting of players like Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield, Quenton Nelson, and Roquan Smith, several of the players above should be available at pick No. 11. And I'm willing to draft any of the players above at No. 11 if the players listed before them are gone.

I will give you what I would do if I were each team selecting at each of these positions, without any trades:
1. Cleveland-Barkley (Make sure you get him. No sure fire QB rises above the rest)
2. Giants-Darnold (You need a replacement for Eli. Who knows; he might even get suspended some games for this season. He seems the least risky)
3. Jets-Mayfield (Biggest upside)
4. Cleveland-Allen (Big upside; needs coaching. Let him sit year one)
5. Denver-Rosen (Do you really trust Keenam?)
6. Indy-Chubb
7. Tampa-Fitzpatrick
8. Chicago-Nelson
9. San Fran-Edmunds
10. Raiders-Smith
11. Fins-Now if this happens, it gets tough-James, Vea I think. Maybe Ward.

If I were the Dolphins my list would be:

1. Bradley Chubb
2. Saquon Barkley
3. Roquan Smith
4. Derwin James
5. Minkah Fitzpatrick
6. Quenton Nelson
7. Tremaine Edmunds

Or I'm desperately looking to trade down and grab a DT or something.

I'll second the "if I were GM" notion with:

1. Browns - RB Barkley
2. Giants - QB Darnold
3. Jets - QB Mayfield
4. Browns - QB Allen
5. Bills (trade) - QB Rosen
6. Colts - DE Chubb
7. Bucs - DB Fitzpatrick
8. Bears - G Nelson
9. Niners - LB Edmunds
10. Raiders - LB - Smith
11. Dolphins - DB James

The only reason I'm taking Allen at 4th overall is because I actually like Tyrod Taylor. I think it's the perfect situation where he can sit for more than a year if necessary. I think Denver also presents a similar situation.

How about this. Forget need and position they play. Forget who is drafting. Who are the best ten PLAYERS in the draft?

1. Darnold
2. Barkley
3. Chubb
4. Allen
5. Mayfield
6. Nelson
7. Edmunds
8. Smith
9. Ward
10. McGlinchey

Trade down after these 10.

That's how I constructed my list (for the dolphins).

I wouldn't touch a QB in this draft at 11 (or higher), so it's only comprised of 7 players.

Big drop off after that in the need vs. quality area (for us).
