Sorry no link. Just saw it on ESPN. Wonder how much this will hurt his draft status.

It says its some type of toe injury. Which can be very nagging. Just ask Deion Sanders.

From what i read it was a foot fracture and alot of the scouts feel better that he did it now and not waited til later to have the surgery. It really has absolutely no affect on us since we better not even be considering taking him since he will absolutely be picked on the 1st day.

He still ran in the 4.4's at the combine, even with this issue. I think he will end up dropping into the 2nd round, but we don't really need a running back.

I would not moiind picking him up him and Ronnie Brown would be nice but not a big need so I dont think we will or should draft him. His stock wont drop much.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer believes Jonathan Stewart remains a top-20 draft pick.
Word from scouts is that they all know who Jonathan Stewart is and what he's capable of doing, and surgery won't change that. NFLDraftScout.com added, "The surgery could drop him a little bit. But I don't think it's going to be one of those things that push him out of the first round or anything crazy. He's just too good a player."

update
Citing a source close to the situation, NFL Network's Charley Casserly reports Oregon RB Jonathan Stewart's toe surgery went well and he may be ready for training camp.
NFL people are reportedly "optimistic" about Stewart's recovery and think he's still a first-round pick. Casserly believes many teams still have Stewart rated as the No. 2 back in the draft, presumably ahead of Rashard Mendenhall.

he's 3rd IMO

1. McFadden
2. Mendenhall
3. Stewart

1. Stewart
2.McFadden
3.Stewart

Thats my list. I dont think McFadden will be what everybody is making him out to be in this league. He is a top 3 on my list because of what he has done in college. I think Felix Jones, his backup, could be just as good as him.

Stewart is better then the two imo because he has a rare blend of speed and power.
