The NFL is a business. And our organization is committed to winning.
Winning equals ticket sells and merchandise sells, and T.V deals, and money etc...
So, make no mistake. The organization want’s to win just as much or more then you
Or I.

Now, we have a new coach and G.M that is now allowed decision making over player personal. And you have to believe these guy’s have a game plan. They’ve traded and released players that not everyone was happy with. They drafted player’s they wanted, regardless of who was the fan favorite or who some experts thought they
should choose. And they do all of this because they have a plan. There plan includes
certain players and certain coaches. And as Dolphin fan’s we hope there plan works.

Put yourself in their shoes. If you were the head coach or the G.M and you knew
that your job was to win. In fact you knew your job depended on it. Would you get
the player’s you wanted? Would you have a plan to win the big one within 2-3 years?
Would you let other people tell you what you should do, when it’s your job that’s on
the line?

Here’s some word’s of wisdom for you fans that are mad about the changes going
on around here. 99% of the things people worry about, they have no control over.
You have to like that Cam/Mueller are committed to their plan. I’d rather them go
all out and fail. Then to second guess themselves, and make little changes to fix
big problems. Which would lead to more failure. So, even if you don’t agree.
You have no choice in what these guys do. And thank God you don’t. It’s a stressful
environment. Where you’re only as good as your last win.

I read this post earlier. Some sappy farewell letter to Culpepper. And I’m thinking
to myself. This guy needs to be educated about being a Dolphins fan. I don’t care
if Michael Vick is under center, as long as he wins the big one. And you shouldn’t
either. Even if Culpepper was healthy, he doesn’t fit into Cams game plan.
Is that to say Culpepper isn’t any good? No. It just means Culpepper would be
better in an offense that was more tailored to his talents. Cams offense is going
to be built around the QB. And this QB needs to be smart, read defenses quickly,
he needs to make fast decisions, and he needs to have a quick release.
Throughout Daunte’s career, reading defenses and having a quick release were
never Culpepper’s strengths. Scrambling and airing out the ball is what he does
best.

Could Brady Quinn have been good in our offense? I’d say yea. But I think Beck
can be even better. He' more accurate, and i believe he's smarter and more committed to what happens on the field. I see Quinn focusing on being that poster boy QB. Looking to make money in endorsements. I thinks Beck wants to win no matter what. He's got heart. I'm sure you've all seen the Byu vs Utah game. That's the kind of guy i want behind center. And i can only hope he turns out as good as i think he will.

I for one couldn’t be happier about the changes going on around here. Anything’s better then what we’ve had the past six years. Give it a chance. Would you rather be the guy who said “I knew it. I’ve been saying it since the beginning.†Or would you rather be the doubter that dogs on his own team to save face, and winds up looking like a jackass when they pull it off? You decide. You want to be a Dolphins fan? Or do you want to root for the Browns or whatever team Culpepper ends up on?

Nice post. I'm all for making big changes that are always tough, rather than nibbling around the edges like Saban did for the most part.

Excellent post. I wish you wouldn't have went there with the Vick thing, but other than that it was an excellent post.

GO PHINS~!

Great post, I dont understand how you can be a dolphins fan and hope that cpep goes to another team and lights us up when we play against him. Choosing culpepper over the team is ridiculous(and hoping Brady Quin succeeds to spite the fins organization and so on).

I personally don't like the way that Dante is being handled in the same way i didn't like the way Trent Green was being handled. That being said it's a buisness and it's a neccessary evil having to do buisness in a dirty way at times. I'm sure it's not a personal thing toward Dante but just looking in the organization's best interest. I think about it this way, alot of the people who are Chargers didn't like the way they got rid of fan favorites such as Rodney Harrison and Junior Seau a couple of years ago but look at them now.

Unfortunately, there are too many people here that have major man-crushes on Daunte. They've been insisting for months that Daunte would be the starter, calling anyone who disagreed with them "not real fans". Well, their world of reality has come crashing down around them and they don't know what to do. So they call Coach Cameron "a liar" and wish Daunte the best and Trent Green nothing but dismal failure. Fans like these have convinced me that the Dolphins fan base needs an enema.

Excellent post! I have had the same thoughts about Culpepper! He could be free of knee problems and be 100% and ready to go. But not on this team! That doesn't make him bad that just makes him unemployed with this team. I just don't see all the love for him over the DOLPHINS!?!?!?!

:yeahthat::logic::woot::woot:

I just fell in love with McCool.....roflmao

Excellent post? No. I sure as hell dont think so. I don't want Michael Vick under center. Aside from the fact he might be out of the league in a few years, having bad character goes against Cam's philosophy.. so... this thread is basically contradicting itself. You think Saban didn't have a plan and didn't say he was "committed to winning?" He's a good example of where that kind of hyperbole and the compromise of values can lead.

I have my doubts about Trent Green, but he could really mean that we win now. He did not look good in 06, but before that he tore it up in KC with the tight end being the only passing target.

I disagree with a lot that Cameron and Mueller have done, but I am optimistic. I was optimistic about Saban too, but lets hope we don't have a repeat of that.

fans second guess their teams decisions all the time. I second guess the fact that we had mularky at offensive coordinator last year. To, build a team you have to have a goal. with that goal you have to have an idea of who you want as types of employees. Cameron know how to run his offense, so he is getting everything he knows he needs to be successful. I believe in him, i dont necessarily like his way of handling media situations but i trust he will do anything possible to be successful. Im excited! i cant wait to see this offense go to work this season! woot woot

Fans are all different so they may have different opinions so what? Agree with you that we really have no control but debating "is" part of being a fan! Well at least the season is upon us and the facts will play out to see which fans have to eat crow. Hopefully for all the Cam/Mullers supporters will be dishing it out because that means the Dolphins will be doing well and I am sure all Dol fans want that to happen!

nice ranting, i'll admit i do very much hope that Cpep succeeds in this league again, it would be a shame to see that talent ruined by that injury. His comeback just isn't going to be with the Dolphins and we need to accept that. But just because he's leaving, and just because he didn't help us doesn't mean we have to hate him for it or pray that he fails in life. I've been going to school in Patsy/RedSox country for a few years now, and it absolutely disgusts me how quickly these fans will jump on a player who leaves the team (Johnny Damon or Deion Branch for example) and cheer for injury or boo for success anytime they see that player again, regardless of why that player left. Neither of the two aforementioned left here because they hated it.. their sport is a business, they want money. Sure that can be seen as a flaw of greed, but that's no reason to feel like you've been abandoned as a fan. If someone at your job quits because they've found something better, do you feel betrayed? nah, you feel good for the person. And it's not just boston fans, you can see it on here too with all the people ripping daunte and others. It's just more apparent to me here in beantown because i live with it constantly. I think as fans of the team, we can be sad and disappointed that a player such as Daunte never did anything for us and now wants out, for the honest reason that he wants a chance to succeed again somewhere, but as fans of the game, we shouldn't hold a grudge, and instead hope that he makes it again somewhere. The more talent there is out there the more fun the game of football is to watch and love. just my 2 cents.

I have absolutely no sympathy for Culpepper. If he had an agent this wouldn't be where it is. The dolphins can wait until september to release him and then he's screwed. It would be in his own best interest to work with us rather then against us. He has put the blame on the Dolphins for rushing him back but I remember the blow up he had with Saban when he was benched because it was obvious he wasn't healthy enough to be playing.
Go back and read the things he was saying before camp last year. Is he saying now that he was told to act like he could play then even though he knew he shouldn't be??????
