I am now 40 years old... and was one of the original posters and pioneeers--so to speak, on this great board. I have been basically "retired" from posting since 2005...always around here just reading about my favorite team--getting the camp reports from the other great posters around here who at one time---were getting them from myself and OZZY.

I feel rejuvenated... I have to admit, there is something about this years formula...the Ran-Cam Connection (Cameron-Mueller) that just is starting to finally "get it". They both are collaborating, its a unit of one...they seem to understand todays NFL Landscape.

Now...I my not agree with all the moves so far (getting nothing for Randy Mcmichael still bothers me), but I like the way these guys seem to stick with a convicition on how to shape the future of the Miami Dolphins...starting with the QB. If Rick Spielman and Wannstedt were here...we would have already given up at least a first day pick already for Trent Green. Nick Saban wouldn't do anything if he were here, except blame everyone else for his dismal failures in every category as a coach on the Nfl Level...try to rush Daunte back again to save his "choice"...then try to trade up at all costs to get LSU QB Jamarcus Russell, after all its his guy too. One of the worst fits in MIAMI Sports History....that was Nick Saban. But now...Hope is Eternal.

There is a plan and a purpose here. There is no rush. The poker chips that GM Petersen is ante-ing up for Green are as ridiculous to think that the Chiefs are going to pay Green 7.2 Million after June 1st. The Cam-Ram Connection does not blink...we will have Green in the fold...they know it. The only reason to give the Chiefs anything but a 7th rounder is to get Green into camp sooner than later. It is in this situation alone...that I along with everyone else around here...you see something that is well...different.

There is a long ways to go...and it all starts this weekend at the draft. Im going to go to the "bubble", myself. I live right near camp...and I believe that this draft is about as critical at this point in time for the Dolphins--as far as moving forward..then any recent draft in recent memory. We have to have faith in our front office...we have to see what they can do with all these picks. And we have to...we have to hit on just about every single draftee for this team to really go into training camp...without maybe a hole here, and a hole there. We obviously need and will draft in my opinion--2 Quarterbacks...1 Wr, 1 DT, 1 DB, 3 OL, 1 Safety, a Te, a Punter, and a speed Rb. That is not a bad templete...but now...Mueller and Cameron have to put the names to that template...and they need to be able to contribute...and I mean now.

I await this draft with anticipation and excitement... I have decided to come back and start posting again since I have more free time. I will probably respond to more peoples threads then start my own....but because of a very specific promotion to a key Dolphin staff member---you never know..we go back a long way....and I hope to pick this guys brain about whats going on out there in practice...and inside that locker room. He does not have to worry... Nick Saban isn't walking through that door...folks.

Yes...its nice to be back. Like the great movie the Shawshank Redemption...Saban reminded me of that ego-maniaced warden... and now...lets hope that the new Andy Duphrene and Red...are now played by Cam Cameron and Randy Mueller. I hope they will turn the tide on Saban...and win big. So far.... they are digging...and they are digging...

The Return Of Dch.. Good To Be Back.

I Just posted my first thoughts on the INTRODUCTION board...can you believe that...yes, I am back and its been a while. I just wrote MUCK to move this post so I can ease my way back to this great, unbelieveable what it has become--site! I believe that myself and OZZY...along with some of you here...are the originals and indeed have helped 'Pioneer" this site to really--a first class and world-read site.

Like I said in my initial introductory post---I am really motivated to start posting again...one because I have more time.. and two...because of a key promotion that took place within the Dolphins organization. I told Muck about it...and he will be the one who will know who this individual is. But quite frankly... I am excited about this new direction of Cameron and Mueller and there template for a winning formula. They seem to get it...they seem to know what it is going on in todays NFL Landscape.

I will be at the draft party with my Draft Bible and I hope to see some of you inside the Bubble. I still live here in Davie...only a few miles away from camp.

I want to start off here with a picture perfect first 3 picks for our Dolphins...if we stay exactly where we are now:

I really believe we will try and trade DOWN...and try to get within reach of T Joe Staley. But if we stay at 9... if Quinn is presumely gone...which is most likely....the pick should be and will be LEVI BROWN. The team brass snuck him in here at the last minute...the last interview. He wowed the team with his intelligence of the game...here is a guy who wants to play LT..and with Vernon Carey wanting to stay on the right side....this is the best pick if we have to pick there at 9. Two bookend Tackles for the next 10 years...finally.

With pick #40... the qb they want here is BYU's John Beck...the 25 year old kid has the maturity, intelligence and got rave reviews from Phil Simms and Jaworski...besides Cam himself. Mueller thought enough to call Beck when his wife gave birth last week to a newborn...this shows a great touch out of Mueller's heart...and shows pretty much where the Dolphins heart actually is. They were the only ones to call Beck on this newborn...they are indeed on top of the BECK situation. I think hes the guy if we pick there...no doubt.

With the 60th pick... I believe we could be looking at either Dwayne Jarrett if he is there...or the raw speed of Washington State's Jason Hill is also intriguing. With the talking of releasing Booker....the Dolphins believe that they can get the same production out of Hagen....but must fans arent going to buy that one right now. Booker is a very solid player...and the Dolphins most likely asked the Chiefs to take Booker...straight up for Trent Green. That is the most likely situation why all of a sudden...Marty Booker is on the trading block so to speak. I don't really think that is the case... his name was probably brought up by the Dolphins in the Green talks...and here you go...Jay Glazer breaks that Booker is on the block...it did not initially come from Alex Marvez. What is the point of releasing Booker right now? There is none. We need to add some darn receivers first... Hagen right now is no Marty Booker...period. Lets draft a receiver... in this spot and see what happens with Booker after June 1st. Jason Hill is my selection here...to stretch the field. Chambers will predominately stay on the outside, by the way. There is going to be a battle between the old speed wizard...Az Hakim and Kelly Campbell...for that third down..passing situation 4-5 set slot receiver role. Drafting a Wr here....

So...with that said. Would anyone here cry over a Levi Brown, John Beck, and Jason Hill first three picks...after only round 2?

I wouldn't. I think that would be a great start...

I am glad to be back...I will write a report after the first day is over. I will see you in the Bubble... DCH

Welcome back, when I joined six months after you did, your posts were some of the first I looked for. Now we have a lot of informed writers but its always good to add to the cadre.

Your news about the Brown interview was the most interesting piece to me. We have been debating his lousy measurables for months since the combine. I was wondering where we stood on him. It raised the old issue of game tape vs. workout results.

While I like the idea of trading down for Staley, I want to come out of this draft with the LT and QB situations answered no matter what else!

I the pick should be and will be LEVI BROWN. The team brass snuck him in here at the last minute...the last interview.

We both know that they didn't sneak him in at the last minute. The visit was planned for more than a fortnight, as confirmed by both Gil Brandt and Tony Pauline.

Glad to see that the beat goes on.

Great to see you back on the site!! Maybe I'll see you in the bubble. Saturday could be a really huge day for our team and finally an offensive guru as Head Coach. Couldn't agree more about Saban. What an *******.

The more things change
The more they remain the same.:D
