Although Tua didnt have a good game, i do agree with Dan, in a sense. Its like were so used to seeing Tua play lights out, when he has a bad game it totally stands out, and maybe our receivers werent used to adjusting to throws that are usually on point??

I have to agree more with Ryan Clark on this one.

Yea, actually they both have a point. Tua didnt play well, or up to expectations. But thats the downfall of having an accurate QB, if he has an off day itll be obvious and the eye test will say that he failed.

I think What Dan was trying to say, was that the receivers couldve made some of the plays and come down with the ball. Theyre kinda spoiled in some way. But at times they can/should make up for the passes thrown 6" off. Thats why they make the big bucks!! And if Tua needs to throw into tight windows, receivers need to catch in those tight windows as well.

Watching other teams receivers make outstanding catches sometimes means their QB isnt so accurate and theyve adjusted to that kind of play.

Exactly, Tua was off and disappointing, just like our defensive play as well.
So if Diggs, Jefferson, Kelce, or Chase make a great catch on a 50/50 ball it's all about the catch and never about the pass. But if our receivers have to adjust to make a catch it's more about the pass and less about catch. It's ridiculous the double standard that is a constant with the Tua criticism.

I think both have a point. Tua has been so good this year that we are shocked when he actually misses passes as we haven't seen it all year.

I'm leaning more to Spears and Clark though, I thought Tua played horrible for Tua. We have to compare this game to how he has played this year and there is no sugar coating it, he was horrible. If he makes those throws he normally makes he's probably going to throw for 450 yards and 4 TD's at least.

What should be shocking is not Tua having a bad day ... instead, how about not having ANY other options to elevate the team. Seems to me we hired a bunch of talent in the coaching ranks to help improve the OL and run game .... shocking that neither is a bit more successful with 3/4 of the season gone and playoffs on the line.

I have to ask, for as much as you criticize Tua, why have him in you username? Not that you aren’t allowed to do what you want or anything, it just seems odd since you’re like warm in the kid at best.

I rolled my eyes when those guys started saying if Tua had a normal game he could sign a big contract or be front runner for MVP. Those guys are lying through their mother fu€king teeth and that pi$$es me off. They would have gave all the credit to the receivers and coaches.

I suspect the SF game hurt his MVP chances. 'New' MVP candidates can't have bad games.

Who cares about MVP, I mean it would be awesome sure, but we all care much more about him staying healthy and ending the season on a 8 game winning streak.

Let's handle our business and hold up the Lombardi for the first time in 50 years.

That is the goal, not the BS trophies the fraud talking heads vote on.

LFG!

I just can’t get past the fact that if Tua actually completed most of these “bad passes,” he’d have thrown for like 450 yards on 33 attempts against the best defense in the NFL. How can that be the standard? He’s either All Pro or sucks?

Can’t he just be okay sometimes?
