Ortiz Has Been Playing with Torn Knee Ligament

This is not good news. He says he can hit with it, and with a few days off he looked good yesterday till he fouled one of the knee. Hopefully with a few games off at the end of the year he can be healthy for the playoffs. Thank god for the DH.

That and the fact that Manny hasn't done crap this year and pitchers are pitching around Ortiz to get to Manny (who has 14 GIDPs). If Manny gets hot, Ortiz will get more pitches to hit.
