October 10th LIVE on Spike TV.

The location has yet to be determined but should take place at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, FL.

Shamrock has announced that this WILL BE THE FINAL MATCH OF HIS CAREER!

Shamrock needs to let it go, Tito is a far superior fighter to him at this stage of his life. I assume this will be the finale of TUF: The Comeback

This was UFC's idea. Neither fighter wanted it. But UFC threw a bunch of money at both and neither could refuse.

I saw in a TV interview that no fighter has ever died in a UFC-sanctioned event. If ever there was a candidate for the first, Shamrock is it.

After that last PPV fight they had they pretty much had to make this free on cable TV. Good stuff, Tito is gonna destroy him again.

Nice shirt Tito :D

Bingo!

I don't see how Shamrock thinks he has a chance, Ortiz owns Kenny!

This fight is a joke but as long as it's on Spike, I'm cool with it going down. But at the end of the day, ORTIZ IS GOING TO DESTROY SHAMROCK AGAIN whether on PPV or Spike!

They stop the fights way to early for this to happen in the future. Maybe when the UFC was young and you saw broken arms and punched-out teeth, it might have happened. Anyway, ever since senator McCain got involved in mollifying the UFC, the potential for serious injury (much less death) has declined to close to zero.

I think the best news is this is on Spike. Hopefully, they don't consider this fight the "main" fight of the evening cuz it's an anticlimax at best.

of course its the MAIN FIGHT of the evening. It has been the biggest $$$ drawing match in the history of the damn company. It will be the draw of the show.

Well, first of all, Ortiz-Shamrock 2 wasn't the main fight in UFC 61 (Sylvia-Arlovski was), so it's not obvious they would make it the main fight next time. More importantly, I think the anticipation for a 3rd Ortiz-Shamrock is not going to be as high as it was for #2 (certainly this is true for me - for me it is an anti-climax), so it seems to me they're going to have to schedule another fight that will draw many viewers not too interested in Ortiz-Shamrock 3.

On another note, do you have revenue figures for UFC 61? Not saying you're wrong, but I can't find them. As of July 26th, they hadn't released the PPV figures is all I know, but UFC 61 was second all time in gate receipts behind UFC 57:
