Former Louisville offensive tackle Mekhi Becton has been widely projected to go in the top 10 of next week's NFL draft. Will a recent development knock him out?

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Becton is one of multiple players whose drug tests from the Scouting Combine in February were flagged. Becton did not fail a drug test in college, Rapoport added, while all NFL teams have been made aware of his combine results.

According to the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, Becton will go into Stage 1 of the league's intervention program for no more than 60 days. If he's not flagged again within this period, he would assume the same status as players who have never been referred to the program, per Rapoport.

Wasn't Baun flagged for a diluted sample the other day too?
This is when players start to slide.
Side note. I believe baun sample was before the new cba. So there is still discussion about punishment.

What is happening is that guys are drinking tremendous amounts of water right before the weigh in to add weight. The drug test happens right after. On the combine coverage they mentioned that Becton was like 15 lbs lighter when he ran his 40.

Can't say I'm disappointed to hear this. Actually quite the contrary. This is wonderful news. Saw this kid play live more than a few times while he was at Louisville. He's a monster.

No punishment...doesn't mean he didn't do it and tried to push a ****amamie bull story as the reason.

"I drank too much water..."

Must have been from the tap in Flint.

I didn't say he isn't being punished or that I think he didn't do anything shady. All I stated was that his sample unlike becton was before the new cba so he doesn't fall in with becton. It falls under the old cba.
