How likely do you think it is that other teams will start using the wildcat this year?

if (as it appears) parcells had this in mind as a longer term offensive change - run the wildcat one year to dvelop it, catch people off guard, then bring in a QB who can run it the next year - I think its something that might catch on.

I can see a few teams maybe trying it this year and testing it out - and if they get some success going after a QB like Tebow next year.

Teams im thinking might be tempted try it (with the personnelthey have/lack in certain areas) are maybe minnesota, denver, oakland, maybe even atlanta.

With the selection of Harvin, I can see the Vikings using the Wildcat a good deal this season.

Kansas City used it quite well last season under Edwards. Haley has the option of using it again also because Cassell has good speed and will be a nice option at WR in the Wildcat, like Thigpen was.

Jets tried it last year, but had little success (Denver actually scored from a TD from a fumble in the formation), but wth Schottenheimer still there at OC it may rear its head again in the Meadowlands.

If memory serves me right the Pats also ran it once or twice last season (but not sure) and the Jags scored a TD from something similar (direct snap to RB).

Last season, 2008, over 19 different NFL teams used the "Wildcat" formation. None as successful as the Miami Dolphins, which used it regularly and at times with deadly accuracy.

Difference this season will be that teams will have more time to implement it and prepare to defend it.

They used it last year.....I see no change this year. It's not like we were the first team to ever use it.

The Eagles also scored a touchdown out of the formation if I'm not mistaken.

i realise other teams use it - but as the odd trick play rather than a formation in the playbook. my point was whether more teams will adopt it as we did last year.

Carolina runs it with Deangelo Williams but we've been doing. Dont think we are improving on it like Miami is with White though.

I've noticed other teams have been doing it, but it seems that at times we have perfected it.

I see all these other teams using the wildcat and it doesn't look as good as when we run it. Especially the Bills, everytime I've seen them run the wildcat it looks sloppy.

It looks like Dallas will try it next year too.

This might not be a complete Wildcat but I've seen Baltimore run it with both Troy Smith and Joe Flacco under centre.

Do you guys think that it will be harder for other teams to use it against us since our D has to defend Wildcat in practice all the time?

I'm pretty sure that someone tried using it on us last year and they got shut down...I wonder if that has anything to do with it...

The Raiders will prolly use it a lot more next year with Mcfadden fully healthy. He is the reason the Wildcat is in the NFl cuz Lee brough it to Arkansa and now here.

If any other team will be able to run it as good as us will be the Raiders.
