Going into the season opener, we all had our concerns..DB's,Guard play and our LB's. Well after one game,it's obvious it's our LB's are our biggest problem. porous and they just can't fill the gaps. I'll give a pass to Jelani Jenkins because he's the only one that gets around to the ball. As for Koa Misi and Kelvin Sheppard they are junk! They don't wrap up and get run over. Secondly, we can't cover TE's. Those TE's yesterday were mediocre. I say play Zach Vigil more.

The concerns we came into the season with are still the concerns and will be all year. It is what it is at this point were going to have the play with guys we have till we can try and address again next year.

Misi was one of our best players so that part of the post is bull****. But yes as predicted lb was an issue

Jenkins is a good weak side backer good very solid .. Shepard is as below average as they come most likely worst starting mlb in a 4-3 in league .. Misi is the epitemy of average they are all bad tackelers and bad at shedding and filling using gap leverage and the position will piss us all off this year like it did last so let's just hope for best I guess it's gonna be an issue all year

then we need more from front 4. they were getting pancaked and turned around. they need to be more stout and get up to the qb

Off season everyone was talking about how great or D was going to be. Bills D mauled Luck. Our D better step their game up.

Your post is honest to God the exact opposite of what happened yesterday. Jenkins was the worst out of all of our LB's yesterday with bad reads, poor run support and pass coverages. Sheppard was average but at least made decent reads and managed his gaps. Misi did much better up in the second half which in the first he had too many over pursuits putting himself out of position. And right now Zach Vigil doesn't belong on the field as a starter as he is easily washed out on plays and his immobility is a liability in both run and pass defense.

LBer play was terrible. They have zero impact

Shepard was the greatest thing since sliced bread beginning of the season and as I mentioned he was awful in Buffalo and he'd be awful in Miami.

going into the season you knew out ILB spot wasnt going to be great.... but you need to rewatch the game. Misi was a guy that saved us many times, was everywhere making plays along with Reshad Jones. The game would of been horrid without those two guys.

and for Jenkins, yes he didnt have one of his best games, expect him to have a great season for us... I believe in him highly.

thats why i eat wraps usually... sliced bread is overrated!!!

I'd rather Vigil then Sheppard starting

The LB'ers and the scondary was pretty disappoint other than Jones. If we lose for any amount of time we'll be in trouble.

How an entire group of defenders can make it to the NFL with tackling habits like that amazes me. The fact coaching hasn't improved our tackling concerns me.

i do want to see more of Vigil myself... but not sure if he is ready for full time starter yet. Need to see his durability and consistency first.
