I feel so good after day one and am usually truly pissed all draft day.

i think this draft compares very favorably from a first impression standpoint to 1997.

1-Yatil Green Wr was not a big fan of the pick but was highest rated wr and had dropped

2-Sam Madison CB should have went first round and was a great pick.

3-Jason Taylor DE/LB possibible first rounder, guy that nobody is sure of what position he is in the NFL but is an intrigueing athlete.

3- Derrick Rogers De/LB undersized De that only fell this far because of his age but is a solid prospect.

3-Ronnie Ward LB total miss

3-Brent Smith T-solid line prospect

compared to this year
1-Jake long T best player in draft
2-Phillip Merling DE top 15 player who fell in draft and was probably never in plans but was too good to pass on.
2-Chad henne Qb- probably was the target at 32 but Merling was too good to pass on. most likely our future at the Qb position.

cannot wait until round 3 starts

Jake Long was never the best player in the draft. Dorsey was.

You don't pass up on what you think is a 'Franchise Quarterback' because a DE fell further than expected. If they thought that highly of Henne they would have taken him at 32.

no qb drafted in second round is looked at as a franchise qb. we passed on henne because a guy we never expected to fall fell. if we didnt think highly of henne we wouldnt have drafted him.

its all about opinion. Long was way ahead of the next best tackle, dorsey is better than Ellis but not as apparent as Long was over his other tackles.
