this offense has the potential to easily be our best team offensively since marino. we dropped 33 on the pats with tannehill and the passing game in general not doing much, and on paper thats the strength of the offense. between lazor and moreno and the talent and depth we have with the receivers, as long as tannehill and the oline dont completely $hit the bed we should be very dangerous offensively.

If we execute our game plan and dictate what we want to do we can be so ****ing lethal.
We will start getting in rhythm and set this league on fire. I am ready to see us back on top. And get more Lombardi Trophies.

I hope so but I'm gun shy...I need to see it work for 3 or 4 games.

Too soon but the potential is there.

And let's hope so - if not that would mean offenses featuring Fiedler, Culpepper, Lemon,FEELEY, Henne etc were better!

That would be 2002. Jay Fiedler was a pretty marginal quarterback, but Ricky Williams was a first team all-pro that year and here is what our offense looked like before Fiedler got hurt:

Week 1 vs Detroit: 49 points
Week 2 @ Indy: 21 points
Week 3 vs the Jets: 30 points
Week 4 @ Kansas City: 30 points
Week 5 vs New England: 26 points
Week 6 @ Denver: 24 points

Then the QB got hurt and for the rest of the year we were stuck with Ray Lucas and then a banged up Fiedler.

However, this team right now looks like it has the ability to be the best we've seen since Dan, absolutely.

That's funny I was just looking at the 2002 schedule and results earlier today, I wanted to see who we beat leading up to the 2 game collapse at the end of the year. I have no recollection of that 49 pt game against Detroit in the opener, not sure how I could forget dropping 49 for an opener but I don't remember anything about it.

One game people. Lets hope, but temper expectations.

Very encouraging, especially the running of Moreno and the potential of any of our receivers having a monster game.
Keep in mind that we got 2 turn overs deep in Patriots territory. Having the short field helped offset our TO's and the sputtering in the 1st half.
I want to see the offense drive the length of the field 5X and put up 35 - 41 points.
The type of balance this offense displayed in the second half would get us into the playoffs. I have to keep in mind that we were playing the scrub Patriots defense though...

If we win by 10 points or more next 2-3 games I'll jump on the bandwagon..

Need to see how we do in the second half of the season once there is a lot of game tape of us running this offense. That's when **** gets real. NOV & DEC.

Fielder sucked....those teams were carried by defense and running game.

This team is much more complete with a talented AN.

One. Freaking. Game.

And people say bills fans overreact?

LMAO.

It's one game I'm not convinced the offense is even going to be above average but I do feel a lot better about the backs and line and I like their odds of ending up one of the better offenses in the NFL. If they take it to the Buffalo D Sunday I will feel quite a bit better.

I think they have the best QB since Danny retired. Pennington was great taking care of the football but in those first 2 years I think they really leaned on Tannehill a lot. Running game was absolute trash, protection was asleep at times. Defense was really good at times but not a dominating D. Last week was not of Tannehill's best games but still a 13 point win. He hasn't seen a Ricky and a Ronnie, or even a line that could protect a warm cup of pee before this season.

Somebody mentioned ole Gus before. He doesn't seem to get talked about much and it seems like people thought he sucked but I thought he was OK. No doubt better than Dante or Joey! Much better than most of the garbage we've seen since Danny besides Pennington and Tannehill. Maybe I'm missing somebody but I can't think of anybody else better than Gus. Maybe Green could've been but he didn't last very long :(
