Hey folks, just thinking ahead a little bit. Is there anyone you would like this team to get or any position you think we need focus on?

For the draft heres what i think we need
1. WR- if ginn shows his presence we need to find a guy on the opposite side that can take the focus off our main threat at WR

2. LB- Either inside or outside, we just need to get some young fresh talent at this position to help take over ZT's place, though that is a hard feat. to accomplish

3. CB- We have some pretty good corners, but it would help a bunch to get that top threat, shutdown corner again. Drafting one would be extremely beneficial to our defense

4. DL- Ferguson and Holliday are getting old, and we need that shutdown Nose tackle that is a necessity for the 3-4 defense. We have Paul Solaui but who knows if he will be that presence we need.

5. TE- Ever since we let McMichael go we have had a large hole at tight end. I don't think any of the guys we have now can really fill the void of being a dominant tight end.

Flip LB and CB and i think i'd agree with that.

I've never really thought Will Allen was anything special as a corner, he's a good tackler but that's about it. I think he might be a good second corner but this team needs a true number one, a guy who will get at least five picks a year and really SHUT DOWN opposing receivers. That's not Will Allen. Reynaldo Hill and Andre Goodman are not the answer either.

Its still pretty early to talk about next season, cuz you never know whats gonna happen in 8 months time.
But for right now, my list would look like this:
1. WR
2. TE
3. NT
4. CB
5. OG/OTbackup

I think we're OK with D-Ends (Merling/Langford), but we need a good young NT in a bad way.

we need a big possession type receiver. Wilford was supposed to be that guy but he's not getting it done so far.
I'd move TE up the list. so far we dont seem to have a TE who can get open and catch, as well as block.
Also I'd add CB, and OG or OT(backup) to the list, and move LB down.

i'll decide after this season or midway through it .. or at least after the trade deadline

TE could be a very big need if Anthony Fasano doesn't work out. But i think he's going to be a very good TE here. Maybe not as offensively productive as one of the better TE's in the league like Tony Gonzalez or something, but very serviceable and useful with his contributions.

Randy McMichael sucked.....

dude...our CBs arent "pretty good"...hell,they suck...the only decent CB is Will Allen, and trust me..HE IS JUST BARELY DECENT...

If our LB's perform well this season, especially Crowder(and earns a new contract)...the only two players I think Sparano will be contemplating over will be whether taking Michael Crabtree or Malcom Jenkins...both players are definately needed on this team....and we have a good chance at getting one of them

1. WR
2. LB
3. CB
4. TE

I'm hoping that if we get a top 5 pick, we go with a player on defense, maybe Maualuga.

Hell, i would take mcmichael over any tight end we have right now. He was a pretty good receiving threat and seemed to get the job done when we needed him

I think you underestimate will, he was extremely consistent last year and proved why he is our number 1 corner. If any of these young guys pan out we might not need to explore the option through the draft or free agency

We need an intimidating presence on defense ala Patrick Willis. Ray Mualaga or James Laurenitis would be an upgrade over anything that we have now. Micheal Johnson from GT would also be a good choice.

I'd go like this

1. OLB
2. ILB
3. WR
4. NT
5. TE

We have 1 good LB(Porter). And we run a 3-4. That's not good. Crowder sux and the other guys are backup/special teamers.

As would i, but that doesn't make him good. He couldn't block, he dropped too many passes. Other than not being able to block or catch he was a good TE!
