The saftey position....Poole coming back strengthens the CB's..Pope looks like a solid starter Crowder may be a budding star....

Now we take a WR since we'll be picking 12-17 range likely.....or trade down and stock pile picks....

Not saying we shouldnt address any OTHER def. needs..but Safety is a glaring need!

Especially with Schulters a free agent, Tebucky gone unless he takes a pay cut ($3 mill in 2006) and Bell a RFA. Good news is their a few good young free agent safties headed by FS Hope (Pitt) and SS Archuleta (Rams).

We could use CBs, LBs depth in the draft. Safety we would certainly need and there are a few good ones out there. Archuleta can play LB/S/CB so that's an intriguing option. I don't think we should be taking a WR so early. Possibly a LT or a trade up is a better option.

I don't think we need to draft a WR in round one. Chambers has been stepping up, Booker has been solid, and Welker has been great. We could use some WR depth, but you don't use your first round pick to get depth at a position, that could be found in the later rounds or in FA. Pope has been solid, Crowder will be good, but we are going to need LBs. Zach is getting old, Pope has not shown he will be anything, but solid and the same goes for Spragan. If a guy like Chad Greenway is there when we pick he needs to be strongly considered. Also you have to take a long look at Cutler.

Traylor isn't getting any younger. Ngata in the 1st

Manuel Wright is progressing well. Had a sack and stuffed McGahee yesterday. I don't think DT is necessary right now. You can find similarly skilled prospects in the later rounds. All we need is a 320+ guy to anchor the middle.

Wright is great, so is Vickerson. I want Ngata then the D lline would look like this

Vickerson DT, Ngata NT, WrightDT, Roth DE

You can easily find a wide body NT good enough to handle the run in later rounds. It's better to use the pick, if it's high, on skill positions like QB or you have a really really desperate need, which we don't have. QB is really pretty much our desperate need.

Correct, but Ngata can play the run and pass rush. He could be our Kieth Traylor but better for 10 years.

Chambers is so up and down its hard to believe you can count on him to be a consistent #1...

I cant see how anyone thinks Booker has been solid??

Welker plays his role VERY well..he's not going anywhere.

If we cant get a good FA Wr..I think if a guy like Holmes is there we take him.

we need to draft a cb and a lb. those two are my top 2 needs on defense.

Jimmy Williams is a shut down corner who will be available around when we pick

and we will probally move Daniels to saftey when pool returns or thats what ive heard anyway

and Lance Schulters has been the unsung hero of the secondary he deserves a new contract

Agreed after watching D-mac Sunday We need a good LT. If Houck really thinks that Albai is going to be the man ,then we need to adress the LB and DB.
