when you think about it our defense other than our safeties actually played really well. Colston only had 76 yards. we only held them to 130 yds rushing. We had 5 sacks. They were 5/15 on third down. We forced one of the best QBs in the league to throw 3 picks which henne, pretty much a rookie qb only threw one (the one to ginn doesn't count). And lastly how about on the saints final drive with about 5 minutes left and were down 3. It was first and goal at im pretty sure the four and we hold them to a three and out which if they would have scored a td we probably would have lost the game right there. It was our offense that cost us the game at the end. And this was all against a SUPER BOWL CALIBER team. not even the mighty rex ryan jets defense did as well as we did

I wish we were watching the same game. How can the offense cost the game when it gave up almost 50 points on the board.

No one here likes Wilson. I do.

I thought he played well in the Jets and Saints game. I don't think there is a player in our secondary who could tackle Shockey 1 on 1.

I've been saying it for the past few weeks. Our linebackers are not making tackles and not able to cover anyone. They put a ton of pressure on our safetys to make touch down saving tackles on multiple occasions every game. That's garbage.

I'll just go out and say it. Taylor should be situational, Akin should be a reserve and Porter and Crowder are both having a terrible season compared to last year.

Bell and Wilson lead the team in tackles by a large margin. Is there another successful team that currently has their two safetys doing that? I don't even have to look at the stats to know the answer.

2 pick six and an 80 yard kick return that lead to 17 pts.

the receivers and play calling lost this game for us.

Who the f##k cares Jetsattack! You lost the game. We spanked your arse in front of the whole nation on Monday night and we're coming into your house on Sunday to give you another beating! Talk all you want, we're bringing pain to the Meadowlands!

i wouldn't exactly call winning by 3 points in the last seconds of a home game.....spanking the opponent. but whatever. some of you guys here also think you're the 2nd best team in the afc.

Either way, you guys are gonna get the ball jammed down your throat come Sunday. Without Kris Jenkins, there is little hope for your D to stop the run. It was the 1 question mark I had about your D coming into the game vs the Dolphins and you guys failed to stop the run. It's going to be a long Sunday for you watching Ronnie and Ricky debacle your D.

Our defense again gave up lots of points very quickly. They had TD's on 4 straight drives, which is madness. It goes to show that against the likes of the Colts and Saints that our defense on the back end is not up to the task of covering the top WR/TEs.

Now we did play much better than I expected, 3 INTS, 2 forced fumbles and 5 sacks is a good days work. We need to work on coverage big time!

While I agree with your evaluation of our linebackers in coverage, I have to disagree with your statement about tackling. The job of a safety is to never, ever miss a tackle. I do not care if it is Andre the Giant running with 4.5 speed. You do not allow what Shockey did.

meh....while i obviously wanna see the jets win....in the long run it doesn't matter all that much this year, imo. i don't think either of our teams is doing much in the way of contending for much except mediocrity. our run defense might not be so great, especially with jenkins out...but your defense is giving up 25+ ppg. it's been atrocious. and your runnin ggame is only so good for 2 reasons.....you have 2 #1 rb's....that won't be the case much longer...and you need the wildcat to get there anyway. we have the top running attack right now. and, despite our less than elite run defense....still a much better defense overall. next year our qb won't be a rookie anymore and we have 10x better receivers than you do. looking ahead we have just as good an outlook as any team in the league. i forgot to mention that our rookie rb looks like a beast and he's 23. next year you have a 33 year old and a 29 year old......you have no receivers really, or tight end. and you need a major overhaul at defense. you olb's are old. your ilb'ers suck. your nt is not a true nt and is getting old. your safeties suck......you can win this game and it's not really too important right now, imo. just like if we win i don't think it's too important either. i mean yeah...our record would mean that we have a shot at play-offs. but i don't htink we're a true play-off team right now. losing jenkins was huge. and having the rookie at qb isn't a good recipe for deep play-off success. but next year with some upgrade at de, a pass rushing olb, no more rookie qb, edwards/cotch at wr, second year in the defense.....our future looks much brighter, imo.

I understand that you are a Jets fan, so you are required to think you're team will be good eventually. However, with all the problems you pointed out that the Fins have they still have one thing going for them. They are not the Jets. The Jets have a history of failure and that isn't going to end anytime soon. So unless the Dolphins move to New York and change their mascot the Dolphins future will always be better than the Jets.

the past nothing to do with what happens in the future. maybe once you guys learn that going undefeated in 1972 doesn't make your team the best now....you'll be able to look at your team more objectively. besides....what have the phins done recently anyway? won the division on tie breakers againsty a brady-less pats and a jets team led by an aging qb who's arm was dead......only to be completely embarrassed in the first play-off game they played. bravo!!!
