although a huge part of this loss was on gase's time management, I honestly don't think it would have mattered. our D is so bad its not even funny. our dc over thinks himself on almost a weekly basis. first having fitz on t.y and on the boundary is just just simply stupid. we have zero pass rush and we are easy to pick apart. hell when we have a chance to force a punt at the 2 min we let the qb run right by us. its like we wait for someone else to make a play. AND WHY THE HELL IS MCMILLAN ON EBRON WITH THE TIEING SCORE ON THE LINE.

offseason (defensive wise)
Fire Burke- it happens bc it may be the only way Gase saves his job.

Trade Jones- I lost all respect for the guy once he quit on the team, and in all honestly what does he bring to the team anymore? not good in coverage, but makes a splash play every once in awhile.

Draft- it has to be in the forcing unit. we need a stud up front. I personally love ed oliver. the guy is high motor and is a monster. But this draft is loaded with DL. whoever is best whether dl or MLB we need to take.
hell im at the point I take a flier on Foster. Raekwon over pursues everything and cannot cover.

CB- we need someone opposite of X in the worse way.

pass rushers- let quinn go and start fresh. quinn and branch will free a ton of money. Harris is a real disappointment. once today he broke down right in front of luck instead of getting the sack or qb hit.
I would resign hayes if capable, and draft and see whats available. Its bad when the almost 40 year old is the best pass rusher you have. hell we cant even get there when we blitz.

I don't want to even get into the offense and make this any longer.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. This offseason and draft should be mainly defense, defense, defense. O line needs to be addressed as well but not before fixing that defense.

Is the defense worse the than offense though that is what I keep asking myself. The defense is forcing turnovers but we fail to score points off them. I'd go with Fitz at the #2 CB spot and keep X at the #1. Slide McCain back into the Slot. I don't think we can keep both McDonald and Jones - they are 2 SS one has to go and we need a good FS. If we draft a stud CB fine move Fitz back to the FS spot. But we must absoultley load up on DEs to generate a pass rush. At what point do we move on from Harris - he's showing nothing in year 2.
The beauty of having all these needs is it gives us the ability to select BPA and other teams won't know which direction we are going.

I would put fitz at free. when we go cover 1 he can come down, our get another fs so fitz can stay on the field no matter what package.

The current defense needs blown up. Everyone outside of Baker, Howard, And Fitz should be fair game for replacement.
