well i like how it will pan out with this "D"

Looks Pretty Solid to me IAm so happy Channing is Starting
 
I dont see how Bell wouldn't be starting?

Other than that I am psyched. This D is gonna have some smashmouth physicality to it.
 
And this is just the beginning of the year. As players get more and more aclimated to Saban's defensive schemes we should get tougher. I predict some great defensive games this year.
 
I'd hope that we can sign Cletidus Hunt soon so that we can have better depth. He's a legitimate NT.

We will be bringing down quarterbacks, quicker then Bobby Brown can bring Whitney down.
 
The starters I think will be very good, but I'm concerned about depth at DT. Traylor is really the only fat boy to throw in the middle, the others don't really disrupt the running game.

BTW we will be running a lot more 3-4 than Saban hinted at. You don't keep all those linebackers to run a 4-3.

4-3 Base

Definitely impressive and I feel that our Defense is going to be really strong and win games for us, I'm thinking they will be in the Top 10, possibly #8.
 
I agree with painnotpleasure. That's what it currently is. Schulters will crack the starting line-up in a couple weeks.

Or whenever bell gets hurt
 
I think we will be more then solid on defense...I think we could be dominant.

A lot of "ifs" with that prediction though.

We have to stay healthy...especially at tackle. If Traylor or Holliday get hurt we have issues.

Reggie Howard has to continue to play well. If he can hold his own our secondary will be better then anyone thought it would.

We need agreat pass rush. I think we'll get it. Carter and Taylor both demand double teams and that opens up teams for blitzing...which I think we will do a lot of.

We also need our offense to control the ball. With our Q.B. situation we will need to run the ball a lot and spin the clock. I know this is the "same old same old" on offense but it is facts.

If we have to throw the ball a lot and our defense spends too much time on the field our lack of depth at tackle will eventually catch up to us and we'll be done for.
