I just took a look at our remaining schedule and realized that everyone ahead of us for the wildcard is on our schedule right now, minus Denver but that is only one wildcard spot. That's not saying that we will win even half of our remaining games or that we should be able to, all I am saying is that it is incredibly fortunate for a team that started 0-3 and has had a couple missteps since then that our destiny is practically in our hands still.

Our remaining games are against Buffalo, NE, Jacksonville, Tennesee, Houston, and Pittsbirgh. All of these teams minus Buffalo are alive in the playoff race, although Tenn would be a huge longshot. These games will be difficult, with NE being an obviously huge challenge, but it is refreshing to feel like every win we get down the stretch will likely leapfrog us over another team. The playoff picture has become pretty interesting and I just hope that we can keep it so.

Although I personally kind of like the team, I'm rooting for the Texans to lose tonight because that will help us tremendously.

we already control our own destiny as of right now it doesnt matter if texans win or lose if we win out. Althought the texans losing would help us should we lose a game.

Now we just got to take care of Business, beating the Jaguars, Titans & Houston is gonna be very important.

Giants need to beat Denver on Thanksgiving.

Im officially more worried about the Titans game than any other remaining game on our schedule. Yes im serious.

We have trouble with QBs who are hard to bring down/mobile and CJ in not human.

Vince Young worries me too. He is a freaking stud and Jeff Fisher was an idiot for starting Kerry Collins over him to begin with.

Being from Houston, it was tough to see them lose. However, this is best case scenario for the Phins.

Prior to the game I thought beating Texans would be the issue, however seeing VY figure it out the Titans will be quite tough. Especially Chris Johnson and Vince's ability to scramble.

However, I believe Phins will score mightily against the Titans. The Texans offensive play calling was puzzling and their Defense occasionally reminded me of the Phins. They didn't seem to blitz at the right time; 3rd and long.

Sorry to be picky about this, but we don't actually control our playoff fate quite yet, even if we finish 11-5. We almost do, and the scenario for missing a wildcard at 11-5 is really unlikely, but mathematically it's still possible.

It's still possible for Miami, Jacksonville and either San Diego or Denver to finish as division runners-up at 11-5, with 9-3 AFC records, potentially negating our head-to-head win (or loss to SD, for that matter) as a tiebreaker and throwing the tiebreak to strength of victory -- which might or might not hurt us, depending on which team then got the 1st wildcard. Very unlikely, I admit, but it's still possible, and the Houston loss didn't change it.

Realistically though, yeah -- we'd get in at 11-5, almost certainly. Our chances at 10-6 might not be too bad either, but we'll need to wait a little more to be able to size that up with much accuracy.
