Our division - Bills first to...

very baffling.

saints offense has just not looked like that vintage saints offense that we r used to. maybe letting sproles go for a 5th rounder is hurting them a lot more than they thought.

as for dallas, since week 1 disaster vs the 49ers, there offense has been clicking. romo looks really good, murray has looked great, maybe with no expectations preseason, dallas will surprise ppl.

still a long way to go though

Both the Chargers and Saints offenses went downhill after letting Sproles go. I think it's a case of under appreciation by coaching staffs on what he brings to an offense and they don't realize it until he is gone.

I didn't really mean safety was the issue as much as the system the Saints used. Last year they played a lot of base defenses with 3 safeties. They haven't done that this year doing more 3-4 base than anything and they aren't having the same success.

ahh got ya...more 3-4 base in the sub package even??? they seem to also be playing a couple really green corners on the boundary opposite keenan lewis and teams are gonna attack that

Their offense? How about their defense coming up with just 5 turnovers in the last 16 games. Remember when we had that stretch of 10 games without the defense causing a turnover? Brutal. Think it was Sparano's last year or maybe the 2nd to last year.

Rob Ryan is not half as good as his brother when it comes to coaching defenses...and some around here wanted that guy as our DC.

never said there defense has looked good, but i am not shocked by that, because when have the saints ever been known for there defense?

the saints we have known since brees took over, has been this high flying powerful offense, especially in that dome, which would walkover even the elite teams.

now granted they have only played 1 home game this year, but it just seems brees is not as accurate as in the past, graham seems to be alittle out of sync, even though we know how good he can be, and now they do not have that guy who can take sproles place in that offense.

i mean robinson is a small fast rb, but he is not sproles in the pass game by any means.

i dont know y they gave him up for a 5th rounder, like he was a nobody?

They basically pissed him off to the point he refused to play for them. They told him if he didn't take a paycut (after they promised to give him a pay raise) they'd cut him, he called their bluff. Since it became obvious that Sproles was not playing for the Saints again (coming from both Darren and his wife) the Saints couldn't get a good trade for him, and when they tried to renegotiate with him he said no.

But the other guy they lost, as I mentioned earlier, was Lance Moore. He was injured last year (and this year for the Steelers) but he was always a consistent 3rd down target for Brees and he was a touchdown maker. So the Saints loss 2 of Brees's safety valves.

im surprised though how if that was the case, y no team would jump into the mix for him aside from philly, who got him for a bargain.

he would have been a nice addition to our offense.

ive always liked those small guys who give it there all week in and week out, like the woodheads and the sproles. those guys werent born with the most talent, but its there work ethic that prob got them to the level they r at today.

every sport has those few guys who u cant root against, those r the guys in the nfl who ever nfl fan has to respect

This is the most wide open this division has been in the past 15 years, other than that 1 year when Brady went down early in the year. Pats are not dominate anymore, and the Bills and Jets both have bad starting QB's. As shaky as Tannehill has been this year so far, he is still better than Manuel or Smith. This is a prime opportunity for Philbin to step it up and LEAD. If Philbin fails this season with a shaky division, can not see how he could possibly keep his job beyond this year.

That year it took 11 wins to win the division, which is incredible if you think about this: the team that won the division started out 2-4. Eight or nine could take the division this year which means no team will ever truly be out of it before about week 9 or 10.

Watkins is saying that the ball is coming out faster w Orton. I agree he'll take a lot of deep shots to the kid.

Most things in Buffalo this week are the WRs are happy with the switch. So I am hoping to see more out of Woods, Watkins and Williams in the Future. I know the Talent at WR was there and they have been open every week, EJ just could not get them the ball.

Orton with his limitations still sees the field much better and will push the Ball to his WRs. That will be a welcomed surprise for the Bills fans. Though I think we will have to live with the additional Turnovers caused by Orton forcing the Ball like he does at times.

as an FSU alum, and having seen EJ play in a ton of games both big and small.....I'm not surprised to see him benched.
