Here is a link.

If you want to see why this team is in shambles look no further than the completely STUPID moves Wandstedt made when he took over the team. Make no mistake when Jimmy Johnson left this team we were a quarterback and a running back away from a superbowl (if you remember the first superbowl the pats won they beat us late in the season on a pass interference call on fletcher which was a bad call - they would have missed the playoffs. We would have had a buy week.) We were very close back then just missing a little bit and the Patriots were by no means as good as they are today. I'm not joking ANY ONE OF US COULD HAVE DONE BETTER THAN WANDSTEDT. That is how stupid he was. I was never happy with our drafts, but when I go back now and look I can see how BAD IT REALLY WAS!!!

Eddie Moore wasn't even expected to get drafted! Wade Smith was 265 pounds for god sakes, and the only thing he had going for him is he was agile -well he wasn't agile at 285 lbs - he sucked. 2 sacks a piece by abraham and freeney lost us two games late and cost us the playoffs - we might have even had a quarterback in Griese - he just needed some time in the pocket. When you make choices like that you are doomed to fail. Thank God Saban got us on track, and we are in even better hands now! We just had a wonderful draft. Nobody in the draft could have added more to this team this year than Ginn does other than maybe Calvin Johnson. And even that is not a lock cause if Ginn takes 4 or 5 kicks to the house this year that could translate to at least a couple of wins. Beck, after looking at him, looks to me to be by far the best NFL ready quarterback in the draft. The guy is an amazing leader, he is tough (played an entire season with a seperated shoulder, played on sprained ankles). His team came from behind to win games.

He was a winner in college, and he is by far the most accurate quarterback to come out, and the guy is smart. The only knock is his size and he played games against second tier opponents - but the big games he did play he played well. Satele is tough and he should start for us. Booker was the number one recruit in the country coming out of high school, and he will make plays for us - great pick up. Soliai had a second round grade on him. The guy looks fast at 345 pounds and thats nuts -for our scheme he might be the best player in the draft (you can debate that the Michigan tackle may be). The mauia guy might have been a reach only in the sixth round just cause he wasn't on the radar for most teams - the Chargers looked at him though and they need a young fullback there when Neal retires). The guy might be a steal though. He is pretty cut up at 272 pounds. He is agile, and he can catch well. June Jones said he is THE MOST PHYSICAL PLAYER HE HAS EVER BEEN AROUND. Jones coached Craig "Ironhead" Heyward for the Falcons. Kiper said Smith is a starter someday and he was a seventh round guy (we had a higher grade on him) he made more tackle per game than all but 5 linebackers in college last year and he has NFL bloodlines. Then abraham and Mkristo Bruce who we picked up as a free agent will be groomed behind Taylor and Porter combined these guys had 50 sacks the last 2 seasons - thats a lot of production- they have a chance.

I think when its all said and done this draft will go down as a better draft than the Jimmy Johnson draft when he picked Sam Madison, Jason Taylor and Derrick Rodgers, and the Saban draft which netted us Ronnie Brown, Matt Roth, and Channing Crowder. Its sad to say but in the last 15 years those two drafts were BY FAR our best drafts overall. It's good to see we are in good hands again! If we get good quarteback play this is probably the best Miami team we have had in that time as well. unfortunately, the Patriots might have their best team yet, Colts might not be as good as last year but with one of the best slot receivers in Gonzales They may have the offense they had 2 years ago which could make them better, and the Chargers and Broncos are as talented as anyone. A few years ago we may have had a superbowl team. This year it might be a struggle to make the playoffs cause the AFC is SOOO talented. But this is our best team - I think we will make the playoffs - then who knows what could happen :)

HALL Of FAME Post.
Well put.

Hey Thank you Stefins! I appreciate it :) Thought we might actually get some more input on this thread (was hoping for it) but think I had too much to say lol - it was all relevant to the state of the team today though vs. any time in the last 15 years as I was trying to explain. Funny that the one year we have no hype going into the season is the year we have the most complete talented roster we have had in that whole time! Wish we had this team 5-7 years ago - we might have had a ring or two. Or wish we played in the NFC (we would only have to win the superbowl) - gonna be tough this year though

Bro I made it more eye friendly for you.

LOL...thank you!! how did you do that?? I didnt realize as I was typing there was so much there...

Just wanted to say as well that in link provided you can see the ratings on all players drafted since 2002 - just shows how bad we were! just no plan in place. It's so obvious this has been corrected under Mueller.

I also just read another article that backs up what I said about Soliai

He might end up being the best Defensive Tackle taken - he fits us perfect and I saw him on tape he finishes tackles and he is athletic/fast... fantastic pick in the fourth round. This guy thinks we got 5 starters from this draft - I agree and that just doesnt happen. EVER. period. The punter has the best leg in the draft as well - they had him punting out of bounds etc his junior and senior year. I believe he was an all-american as a sophmore with a 47.3 NET. The guy also mentions we picked up a tackle in free agency he thinks with a year grooming can start for us in Wilson. If that happened it just icing on the cake!
