...of course, it's dependent upon where we pick, but IMO, i expect Michael Huff, S, Texas to be the Fins first round pick. Middle of the first round, playmaker in the secondary, youth and talent at a position that needs it.

Michael Huff would be sweet, but we're inconsistent at the QB position the most....not to mention, I think QB is more important than a Safety

you called it....now we just have to wait until next April :)

I'd love for us to get a franchise qb, but we may not have the pick for it. It's been since Louis Oliver since we've had a safety I've really liked to watch.

We'll have to see who declares and who we can sign. The way I see this team right now though, we should draft best available. We need every position (except tailback) and we could also live with what we have at every position (except QB but a rookie doesn't give immediate impact).

no doubt, qb is a more important position, but the question is what kind of value will there be at qb when we draft? is jay cutler a good fit at #15, which is approximately where we'll be drafting? if he is, and if he's available, i agree - go qb. if not, you can't reach - i assume saban will take the best player on the board, which seems to be his approach. also, in watching the games this year, the secondary has looked very shaky at times, and is very thin.

Jay Cutler could very well be our pick if his draft stock holds steady. Still plenty of time for him to move up though.

I got news for ya people, Our Qb might come in the third or fourth round. Or maybe both for two QB's. Saban wants to build his defense. Defense wins championships. I would start thinking about QB's like Shockley and mobile guys with arms.

Bingo! Saban is a value guy and he will have players that fit his style and demeanor. He will pick guys at spots and will have guys thoroughly checked out.
He will follow his board to the tee and it will be all worked out by the time the draft arrives. He will get more LB's for sure and he will get a S and a CB (late round guy who will fit the system)

There are a bunch of good first round LB's coming out this year. I hope Hawk falls like Derrick Johnson did last year.

it all depends on who declares at QB jimmy williams can drop to where we pick we shall take him and trade up in the second to grab the QB that will be available earlier in that round (charlie whitehurst, Reggie Mcneil, Jay Cutler if he loses the hype he gained, Brodie Croyle, Kellen Clemens paul pinegar)

I would l=ove to Draft QB in the first OG in the second and secondary in the 3rd... the rest would beef up what we have, depending on what we resign and what we bring in FA

I have posted this before and probably will again get unhappy replies, but I would trade Jason Taylor. I still don't think he fits into sabans scheme, he seems to be always dinged up, and quite frankly come december in bad weather games he is like **** on a bull... useless. His speed is completely negated in any kind of weather game, period!

My starting defensive line would be Carter and Holiday as the defensive ends with traylor/vickerson/wright at the defensive tackle positions. Imagine if we got even just a 2nd and a 3rd for Taylor, that would be 5 first day picks!

I would pick a DE/CB/Safety/WR/QB all on day 1, I know Taylor is a mainstay but imagine how physical we would be up front and imagine if we really got those positions on day 1!

What attributes do you see that would make Jason Taylor "not fit" Saban's scheme?

What, in your opinion, IS Saban's scheme?

These comments always intrigue me, so I'm looking forward to your response.

Thats a very simple question to answer, I have not seen him make a single play in space. He is a good pass rusher in the begiining of the season but then wares down and gets even worse in bad weather games especially when a huge offensive lineman can just lean on him. I have been watching this happen for years. i would love to see a statistical analysis of how he plays as the season goes on and in bad weather.
