I'd rather take Russell. If Saban's here next year, then we have more of a chance taking Russell than Brohm.
 
i rather have jamarcus russell of lsu or we can just take kolb out of houston in the 2nd or 3rd round

what is it that impresses you about brohm exactly.

it just said on espn that he threw 16 tds and 5 ints.

I could do that against the big east if I only played one quarter a game.

I don't get it. Jmarc is a project brohm is somehow much better.

i like jamarcus better as well...he s the man..i really dont see any flaws in his game that r not normal for any rookie coming into the nfl...the man is a beast, cannon arm...looks to pass first..spreads the ball the around..tough as hell to bring down...i havent seen much of brohm to make a comment on him though..but jamarcus seems like one of a kind..like calvin johnson
 
We already have a gimpy version of JaMarcus Russell.

His name is Daunte Culpepper.
 
Draft or acquire the positions we really need like LT,C, young stud LB that can learn from ZT, DE, shut down corner, then trade down in '08 for colt brennan!!!
 
hold on to your projections until after the BSC game. Lets see if Troy Smith shows up big, if so we draft him. I do agree we need a qb for the future.

I agree.

Although another QB to consider for next year, that I'll be watching closely next season is Henne from Michigan.

I love the way he's so cool in the pocket, steps up and makes the play. One thing he'll need to improve though is his quickness - seems to hold the ball a bit too long sometimes.

Getting back to the subject though.....No QB in the first round this year for mine. I'd rather see how Daunte goes first.
 
Henne was awful in the Michigan game against USC. Plus, you should NEVER draft this year with the assumption of getting someone next year, ever, period. That is more Madden philosophy than thinking we can get Clements, Briggs, Samuel, and Randy Moss in FA this year.

You draft one year at a time, ONLY. And please, lets wait till after we see Brohm, Russell and Smith all play in their bowl games before coming down to make a decision. The bowl game is often the biggest indicator of talent and success, lets see how it plays out.
 
Brohm is vastly overrated ..u r talking about a player who threw for 300 yards with no tds tonite...a few times if he would of led his wr better then would of been tds and that douglass kid helps him big time..get russell...but imo the phins need to draft a OL 1st or the best wr at there 1st pick
