Our last SB appearance...30 years ago today.

We last appeared in the Superbowl on this date in 1985....Dan Marino's only SB....we lost to the Niners.

What do you remember about this game, and when will we play in another Superbowl?
 
I remember Dan going no huddle and hitting Joe Rose for a TD in the first qtr as the Phins took the lead and thinking................... LIKE A BOSS!!!!!

Then in the 2nd qtr the LB play looked like something that resembled Phillip Wheeler on his worst day. The 9ers scored in bunches and the rest of the game was a **** show. The 9ers were able to pressure Dan while only rushing 3 and 4 guys, leaving 7 and 8 players to blanket our receivers and that was all she wrote.

We may never get back there at this rate.
 
i remember a blatant san fran fumble late in the half that one of the blackwood brothers couldve taken back a long way, maybe a td, and the ref of course saying it wasnt a fumble. a long, depressing, miserable day.

Yep...I think we were down 21-10 when Montana threw it to Freddy Solomon....Solomon fumbled and Lyle Blackwood scooped it up and was heading for a TD but the refs screwed us over and blew the play dead. I was in my second year of college. We better get back there again soon.
 
I was in 5th grade and i remember crying at half-time because not only did I sense that the Dolphins were going to lose this game, but rather, I knew they wouldn't come back to the game for the next 30 years. Damn clairvoyance!
 
I was 3. At the time my family (all 9ers fans) seemed pretty excited about the win. Little did I know...
 
I remember the 9ers played most of the first half on Miamis side of the 50. Soo many short drives.
 
I remember Roger Craig abusing us on short passes all day long. Me and room mate had Super Bowl party that year so I was just having fun with the party. When they started getting beat I didn't take it to hard. I figured we had our young QB and we would be back the next year once our defense improved. 30 years later and still waiting.......
 
lol..... 30 years without even an appearance. We're the bottom of the barrel franchise. Even the Bills enjoyed great success heading to like 4 straight SB's in the 90s.
 
I remember that game well. I was at my moms place and I was getting hammered off of similac and I remember crapping my pants at some point as well. Things have changed a little bit since then!
